16/10/20 Greyhound Tips for Million Dollar Chase night

Gun dog punter's best plays for Wentworth Park

What a cracking Million Dollar chase series it’s been.
Dogs from every state in Australia have chanced their arm or paw, competing for the rich million-dollar prize.
It’s shaping up to be a ripping final, even without gun runners Simon Told Helen and Shima Shine.
I've assessed tonight's 10 race card at Wentworth Park, to pick out my top selections, quaddie numbers and my Mon3y Multi.
I can’t wait to see how it plays out!
Wentworth Park Race 1
Great race to open the night.
I like the 4 Still Blue. She typcially likes it wide, but should have enough speed to lead here.
The bitch has beaten most of these before too, so looks hard to beat.
She's $2.80 currently and you may get $3.00 if you wait.
Wentworth Park Race 2
Ritza Tommy in box 4 is the spruik dog of the year, and duly saluted in the heats last week.
He looks the one to beat again, but you will need to hold your breath through the first turn.
If he gets through untouched, he’s super strong and will power away for another victory.
$2.50 is very fair odds.
Wentworth Park Race 3
Best of the night here in Chrissie Banner, who is a very promising type!
She's had 7 starts for 4 wins and 2 minors.
I wouldn't say she's a superstar, but she's clearly the best dog in the race.
Expect her to lead and win. $1.85 looks a lock for multi players.
Wentworth Park Race 4
Vamos Penny looks well suited in this race.
She just needs to land somewhere near them and she will be taking care of these.
$1.75 looks skinny, but another good inclusion for a multi.
Wentworth Park Race 5
Very tough gig this, so I’d suggest refilling the fridge with stubbies.
For the sake of a tip however, I’ve defaulted to the red.
If Hooper can run his standard 5.60-30.30/40, he should be going close.
There's no way I’d be diving into the $2.60 though.
Wentworth Park Race 6
I'm siding with Sunburnt Highway here, who has been beginning well of late.
Box 5 won’t be an issue and he has beaten most of these previously.
$2.25 is too skinny for me though.
Wentworth Park Race 7
I'm sticking with my favourite stayer in the making, Sunset Bourbski.
Although both the Tears dogs in box 1 and 2 ran the hands off the clock last week, they are very inconsistent.
Sunset is suited to the draw and will improve off her run last week.
However, $2.20 is unders so hold off unless we get a better price.
Wentworth Park Race 8
I'm going with Second Exit in box 1 here.
She’s 12 from 14 off the red and only needs to hold her spot going into the first turn and they won’t catch her, given she's a genuine 600m bitch.
$4.00 is a great bet.
Wentworth Park Race 9 - Million Dollar Chase
The big dance! Check out my comments on each dog below and top pick.
Shadow Mist $4.00
Drawn to perfection. He's an ultra-reliable lid pinger, who looks set to get every chance to lead and be very hard to catch.
$4 looks a good bet!
Xerri $9.50
Doesn’t ping but burns soon after. He will need to be on his game early, or risks getting buried.
He's capable and looks overs at $9.50.
Flying Ricciardo $2.70
The boom pup, the track record holder and feel good story- the whole box, and dice!
He's aided by the slow beginner to his outside, but has 3 speed dogs on his inside.
It will be very interesting to see what plays out at the first turn. Big player.
Waging War $34
John Finn has rejuvenated this bloke, but he would have to go to a career peak to beat these.
Wallbanger $31
What an excellent job the team has done to get this bloke in.
I don't think he's up to this standard though and he's another would have to go to a career peak to win.
Awesome Catch $51
I’m still scarred from last week, when this bloke ran down Tennessee Tiger.
This is not beyond him, but the old boy would have to begin better and run home quicker than he did last week to figure in this. I can't see that happening.
Handsome Prince $26
The Taswegian who powered into contention last week, but unfortunately has drawn upside down in box 7.
This draw doesn’t suit dogs that come out and then burn.
It could spell trouble for the Tassie dog at the first turn.
Tommy Shelby $2.90
The people’s dog from the west.
It's a horror draw for Tommy, as he’s got 3 dogs underneath him that can and will split 5.40s. Furthermore, the Tassie dog in 7 will be hurtling into the first bend.
Tommy could be poleaxed back to the kennel block soon after the start.
No doubting he’s the fast heat winner, but he could well be posted 4 deep into the first bend.
Can win if he absolutely launches early, but it’ll take some doing from there. $2.90 is big risk and looks a great lay.
I've settled on Shadow Mist, to beat Flying Ricciardo and Xerri.
Wentworth Park Race 10
The lucky last, hopefully I’ve tipped 9 winners and jagged the quaddie by this stage.
I'm with Bland Purr, who is an absolute box 8 bandit, with 10 starts for 6 wins and 2 minors.
If we’ve done our dough by the time this race rolls around, we'll blast out in the last with Blandy sailing down the outside at $5.50!
