16/01/21 Harness racing tips for Saturday night

 

Redcliffe Race 3 Tip #1 Little Bolt $3.10

He is a very honest horse Little Bolt. His last run behind Straddie was very good.

He gets the inside gate and can lead these and will run you a good race.

I concede Major Roll (4) is hard to beat but I don't think there is much between them and with the barrier advantage around the small track, Little Bolt is value.

I have him marked $3.50 and we should do better.

 

 

Redcliffe Race 6 Tip #8 Saucy Dreams $3.00

Saucy Dreams (8) lost no friends last week, doing the work outside of the winner over the long trip.

Pete gets back on tonight which is a massive plus and I think he can put this girl into the race and drive it like he stole it.

I have her marked $3 and we could do better later.

 

Redcliffe Race 8 Tip #1 High On Montana $3.60

High On Montana (1) has been going very well for some time, but it does struggle to find a nice spot at times.

Comes up with the perfect barrier here and as long as he can kick through and hold the back of the likely leader in Pacific Coin (2), he can be very hard to stop late up the inside.

I have to have her marked $2.50, hard to stop if my map is right.

Menangle Race 3 #8 Island Banner $2.50

I'm happy to be with Island Banner (8) here.

The six-year-old mare was impressive last week, despite being beaten as favourite.

With Luke McCarthy jumping aboard, I am expecting another strong performance against what is just an average Saturday night field here.

It may also pay to keep Team of Starzzz (1) safe at the rough odds of $23. 

 

Leeton Race 4 #10 Flaneur $4.20

Flaneur (10) never runs a bad race and is worth backing here.

The Riverina-pacer is extremely consistent but has not had much go for him in recent runs. He will have to make his own luck from the second-row draw, but I think he is capable of doing so.

Gun driver Jackson Painting will look to work forward early in the race, allowing the gelding to showcase his toughness.
