Tuesday racing in NSW heads north to Gunnedah this week, as we go in search for a couple of winners on what looks to be a tough day for punters.

The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail in the true position. Fine weather is forecast, which will ensure a dry racing surface.

The Gunnedah straight is only 200m long, so punters should be on the lookout for horses that can sit on-pace.

Gunnedah Race 4 Tip #6 Divine Intavention $3.00

This four-year-old mare produced a good run over the mile last start at Kembla and looks set to break her maiden today.

Trainer Greg Hickman has sent her north to face a far inferior field than what she has met at her nine career starts.

With little pace in the race, expect jockey Thomas Stockdale to be positive from barrier 3 and sit closer in the run this time round.

Sticking to the 1600m is suitable and if she can repeat her last start effort, she'll prove far too good.

Gunnedah Race 6 Tip #13 Magic Palace $4.00

This mare by Spirit of Boom ran an admirable 2.47 lengths fourth over the Newcastle 1200m last start.

With even luck in the run, she would have finished much closer but had to be steadied at the 100m and wasn't asked for an effort when going to the line.

She looks well suited in this race, drops 0.5kg and gains the services of Andrew Gibbons. From barrier 2, look for Gibbons to be positive from the gates and position the mare in an ideal striking position.

She's now at peak fitness being third-up, so the rise to the 1300m for this assignment is ideal and she looks to have this race at her mercy!
