Free horse racing tips and Saturday best bets from our leading team of tipsters. The form has been done and the team are ready to kick-start the massive day of racing ahead.
Eagle Farm Race 1 Tip #1 Glorious Ruby $2.70
This filly showed patches of brilliance in her two-year-old season, racking up $178K in prizemoney in the process.
The daughter of Your Song won two races and finished second on two occasions in her 4 outings during that period.
Looking back to her last start prior to spelling, she finished second to Sweet Dolly in a complete forgive run.
From barrier eight, she was forced to track wide the trip and even copped some interference in the straight.
She still managed to finish off and grab second prize, which demonstrates the determination she has to tough it out.
Apprentice Leah Kilner, who has been her only rider throughout her short career, claims 3kgs for this clash which gets her down to a nice weight of 56kgs.
Expect Kilner to show initiative and drive forward early in the piece, pouring the pressure on her rivals.
She won a recent trial with a bit in hand, so she really looks set to go here.
This looks a suitable assignment first-up and I expect her to have the necessary acceleration to burn them off in the straight and continue on her winning way.

Caulfield Race 2 Tip #4 Hi Stranger $2.45
This 5YO gelding is coming back every preparation as a more mature and talented horse.
He is racing as well as he ever has and is thriving at his new favourite distance of a mile.
He proved far too good for a similar field last start at Moonee Valley and again this race will set up well for him, with No Effort and Ballet Master ensuring a good speed.
Look for in-form jockey Damien Thornton to settle Hi Stranger just off them and then out-sprint them in the straight.

Kembla Grange Race 4 Tip #2 Conceited $9.00
After contesting Group and handicap level races as a 3YO, Conceited steps down to BM72 grade here to kick start his spring campaign.
The key to this horse is a nice dry track, a surface he was unable to find in the latter part of his last prep.
His trials in the lead up to this event have been super, in particular his last on the Synthetic.
In that hit-out, he was allowed to drift back in the small trial field and when presented to the outside let down nicely to grab second under minimal riding.
He will be forward enough here to be a key danger in this wide open race.
There is plenty of speed engaged to allow him to drift back and get a tempo to suit.
With Hugh Bowman booked, expect him to present Conceited to the outside part of the track and really have him flying late.

Eagle Farm Race 2 Tip #2 Gemelon Bolt $3.90
This gelding returns from a spell in a very winnable race here, following an impressive debut preparation earlier this year where here he showed speed to burn.
He was beaten only 1.25 lengths by Glorious Ruby on debut and finished 1.45 lengths ahead of the talented Legal Esprit in that clash.
He then stepped out for his second start and blew them away for a 2.8 length victory. He had to zoom across from out wide in that clash, burning plenty of energy. However he was still strong enough late to put away a handy field, including Spring Group 1 contender I've Bean There.
In his final run before the break, he started $5.50 second elect behind the hot pot and eventual winner Sweet Dolly. After encountering a torrid trip from the wide gate and working extremely hard to sit on speed, it was no surprise to see Gemelon Bolt pull up with heat stress.
I'm looking forward to this race, his trial last week with Brad Stewart on board was very professional.
Stewart retains the ride for Saturday and I see this as a great launching pad for the Spring ahead.

Goulburn Race 1 Tip #1 Segal - $ TBD
This gelding has come back this campaign with a hunger to win.
Last start at Kembla Grange, he looked the winner the whole straight until fellow Chris Waller runner Appollate got all the gaps along the inside to nudge him out.
The Goulburn track is currently rated a Heavy 10, which won't be an issue given Segal handled the wet well in his lead up trial to his first up run.
The extra distance should suit him perfectly and with fitness now on his side, I am expecting this Sebring gelding to go one better and break his maiden status.
From the good draw, expect Lee Magorrian to hold a forward position and give a great sight in the home straight.

Belmont Race 3 Tip #2 Blazing Away $2.80
Blazing away has shown some good progression since getting onto the heavier tracks in his last few runs.
The gelding was an impressive maiden winner two starts ago, when heavily supported in the market. He then backed up his performance by notching consecutive victories when going straight into a Class 3 at his next start.
The rise to 1400m looks suitable, as Blazing Away was very strong through the line over 1200m. This was further emphasised after sitting in the breeze at his most recent effort.
For a field of 8, there should be some good tempo in the race and Blazing Away does like to sit handy.
From barrier 7, Paul Harvey will be able to push out and find a spot in the first 4.
He strikes a rain affected surface this weekend which will suit, and he looks set to make it a hat-trick of victories.
