Mark Hunter's horse racing tips review at Flemington 6th June 2019:

Race 4: #7 Flow Meter (Medium)

Hunter was looking for a juicy bit of value for his followers to kick off proceedings.

Flow Meter had plenty going for him, but could only manage 8th place after a disappointing run.

 

Race 5: #2 Pancho (Low), #13 Night Passage (Low) and #4 Brunot (Low)

Of Hunter's three selections, he selected Pancho as the one to beat.

With Waller saddling him up and Willo taking the ride, Pancho looked over the odds at $7.50.

He ran a strong race to finish 3rd.

But it was a boilover result, with 30/1 shot Fabulanski getting the win.

Interestingly, Hunter mentioned Fabulanksi in his comments, stating that he was far from useless at the price and could run a place.

 

Race 6: #5 American In Paris (Medium- Best Bet), #9 Wealthy Wolf (Low) and #10 Reflect The Stars (Low)

Hunter couldn't have possibly been any more unlucky in this race.

His three selections finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th, and all within half a length of the winner!

The saving grace for those who bet each way is that Wealthy Wolf and Reflect The Stars both paid good prices for the place.

 

Race 7: #3 Milwaukee (Medium)

Hunter's luck didn't get any better here, with Milwaukee falling agonizingly short.

This talented gelding came with a big run, but could only manage second in what was yet another placing.

Hunter and his followers were doing more than shaking their heads by this point. 

 

Race 8: #4 Waging War (Low)

Waging War firmed into favouritism, with many expecting him to prove too classy here.

Craig Williams sat him out the back, and rode him as the best horse in the race.

While he made some ground to finish 7th, it was a disappointing run from the favourite.

 

Race 9: #3 Fabric (Medium)

Fabric looked the goods for a long way in the last.

She tried to make every post a winner, but just ran out of steam in the final furlong, finishing 5th.
