E Universe made his debut over 1000m at Happy Valley on February 8 and showed a good turn of foot to run 4th.
Throughout the run, he had his head up and struggled to run straight after turning for home.
While very green, it was clear the talent was there.
A month later on March 8, he stepped up to 1200m and showed good gate speed.
He landed the box seat and chased hard to finish 2nd.
He has since had an impressive barrier trial on March 28 without the blinkers, showing he is now mature enough to win.

Encountered is another winning hope tonight for Manfred Man and he will only carry 120 pounds in this Class 2 race.
This 4YO Churchill gelding participated in the 4YO Classic Series over the last 2 months but failed to make a big impression.
Moving to the city circuit tonight will suit him better as he has scored a win and a 2nd over this course and distance.
Recently Encountered had a good gallop with stablemate Lucky Sweynesse on March 4 and they both ran good times.
This suggests both of them are very fit and ready to produce peak runs.

An interesting race with A Americ Te Specso the selection for John Size.
The Capitalist gelding built on an encouraging run three back to score next time under Zac Purton.
He travelled well throughout and threaded his way through a gap to score in really good fashion.
Derek Leung took over from Purton last time when only fifth to Wood On Fire off a 7Ib higher mark.
I was disappointed with that run but it's worth noting he was drawn wide and a slow start ended his chances of winning.
The selection is reunited today with Alexis Badel and from a good draw, the Frenchman can win over track and trip for the second time.

The final race of the night can go to Magniac for the powerful combination of Zac Purton and Jamie Richards.
A three-time winner in Australia, Magniac has shaped well in three local starts.
On debut, he finished third, an excellent effort behind Beauty Eternal and Youthful Deal.
His penultimate run saw him take the second spot to Goko Win and we can forgive his latest run, where he burned up early fuel from a wide gate.
Zac Purton keeps faith in the son of Lucky Street from an excellent draw.
The likely favourite, Gold Gold Baby, is hugely respected in search of his sixth victory of the season but is up 39Ib from the start of the season and he might find this a step too far.
