Wyong hosts a challenging eight race card on Thursday, with plenty of value up for grabs for punters.

The track is currently rated a Good 4 and fine weather is forecast for the NSW Central Coast region.

The rail is in the true position and you can expect on-pace runners to hold an advantage.

 

 

From the stewards

The horse to look out for from the steward's report is Only Mine, who runs around in race 3.

Last start at Hawkesbury, the filly began awkwardly before being caught wide without cover the entire race.

Considering the circumstances, she did very well to battle on and finish in second. 

The filly is drawn ideally out of barrier one for this clash and you can expect her to be more prominent in the run.

Back on to a dry surface, she'll be very hard to beat. 

 

 

Wyong Race 6 Tip #7 New Tycoon $8.50

The Foxwedge gelding will look to build on his solid start to this preparation.

Last start at Tuncurry, he had plenty of factors against him including an awkward draw and having to lump 61kg on an unsuitable soft track. To his credit, he ran on well and finished in the placings.

He comes into this third-up, so he will be nearing peak fitness and is well suited back on top of the ground.

Although he is stepping up to provincial grade, he gains the services of Josh Parr who is one of the best riders you can book for Wyong.

New Tycoon has plenty of upside and the stable wouldn't have brought him here if they didn't think he could run well.

From the draw, expect Parr to sit on-pace and be poised to strike in the straight.

This is a wide-open affair and playing this boy each-way is a good bet.
