The early money in betting markets is active again this week, and continues to lead punters by providing a good guide for best bets on Saturday’s key chances.

At Caulfield, Henry Dwyer looks to have placed one to perfection at a big price ($51 into $21).

Whilst at Randwick, a big tip is around for a Waller/J Mac runner, who has been unlucky at his past two starts.

As always, any further market push close to start time would add extreme confidence.

Caulfield Tips

Sacred Palace

Won well at Bendigo last start and is now rock-hard fit following four runs in this preparation.

With fitness on their side, expect them to race in a more forward position here and be close enough to make good ground on the leader.

The stable would not have come to town if the horse wasn’t flying and I have to respect Lindsey Smith’s placement in this event.

Namakwa

Is from the gun stable of Maher/Eustace and does receive significant weight relief (3kg) with Madison Lloyd in the saddle.

He wasn’t suited racing on speed at Flemington last start and drawn wide (gate 15) here, can return to a more effective midfield position with cover.

Expect him to race in the moving line before peeling to charge at them late.

Helava Deel

Is from the shifty Henry Dwyer yard who love a bet and are the masters of placing them to perfection at a good price.

There was a lack of intent early last start at Pakenham, when she raced midfield after having the opportunity to be closer shortly after jumping.

The run last start may just be an effort to achieve a good price here and if more money arrives late, expect her to go very close.

Ballet Master

Was dominant winning here last start over 1600m, when racing close to speed and running very strong through the line.

Fitter now the step up to 1700m looks ideal and you can expect them to ride on speed and can apply the blowtorch again throughout.

Ethan Brown is an underrated rider, and will be desperate to make the most of this city metro opportunity.

Allinthistogether

Is from the gun yard of Mark Newnham, who rides most of his key chances in trackwork himself and is happy to tip the owners based on feel.

She was excellent winning at Gosford last start to break maiden status and now deserves her chance in Sydney Saturday metro class.

With some high-profile owners involved here who like a bet, expect the price to firm even further.

De Grawin

Loves to lead and dictate and comes out of a stronger race last start, where she was not able to control it as per her preferred pattern.

There is less early pressure engaged on this occasion and you can expect her to drop anchor for a few cheap mid-race sectionals, before bursting away at the end.

Third up (1:1-0-0) also suits and she should take good improvement into this.

Hulk

Has been the biggest tip going around all week, with many locking onto the Malkovich form reference from two starts back.

He has been unlucky at his past outings, where you can make a case he should have won his past two after being held up in both.

Clearly the Waller/J Mac combo is a massive tick and given any luck, he should be winning.

Royal Banquet

Is from a lethal betting yard of Nathan Doyle, who will be desperate to repay high-profile owner Matthew Sandblom for his support.

Third up (1:1-0-0) is perfect and expect them to race midfield in the moving line, which may be the place to be at Randwick later in the day.

Blinkers are applied for the first time and that could make for significant improvement.
