Manikato Stakes Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 21/10/22

The Group 1 Manikato sees many of the Moir field return for what appears a Round 2 clash around Moonee Valley.
I'm with a horse from left-field who is somewhat of a surprise entry here fresh, with that factor alone creating plenty of interest. He looks to have been set specifically for a first-up Mission here in the feature Moonee Valley Group 1 sprint.
Expect the tempo to be "warp-speed" and this should suit a number of the run-on profiles, including an older Waller mare who could bounce back
Track Conditions
The Moonee Valley track is currently rated a Soft 7 with the rail in the True position for the entire circuit.
Showers are predicted tomorrow in Melbourne, and there is a chance we have rain during the card.
The Moonee Valley surface can throw up significantly advantaged racing patterns, and if the rain continues, certain lanes could hold some advantage.
As always refer to the early races for a good guide on track bias.

The Map
As is typical for this race, a strong tempo is predicted.
Savatoxl (18), Best Of Bordeaux (14), Rothfire (5) and In The Boat (3) all have early speed and the ability to press for the lead if desired.
Rothfire (5) with a lower draw can possibly win the speed battle early to take it up. Paulele (6), Sweet Ride (4) and Bella Nipotinia (2) all get the nice tag, just in behind the hot tempo.
General Beau (11) and The Astrologist (8) both will be looking to find the moving line with cover, and may need some luck slotting in.
The Inferno (17) and September Run (13) are likely to race toward the rear, and could both appreciate the good speed up front.

The Favourite
Paulele ($3.50) was absolutely blessed when winning the Schillachi at Caulfield last time out, when the gap came at just the right time.
Granted he does receive all speed map favours again here, however this is a much deeper race and look for a lot more pressure.
I'm against him on this occasion and the current price ($3.50) appears pure poison to my eye. Avoid.
Best Racing Tips
I'm with Eleven Eleven who must be flying behind closed doors to warrant targeting this Group 1 assignment first up.
He is almost certain to get the early speed required to allow him to run on.
Bowman can smoke the pipe just in behind and unleash hell late. Looks big odds.
Bella Nipotina clearly should have won the Moir here last start, when trapped wide and did all the work, however still was right there in the finish.
She draws much more favourably for this, and given a more economical run expect she is in the finish.
September Run oozes quality and gets the right set up her with a hot tempo and drawn wider, where she can find the moving line with cover and peel.
I'm convinced she has another big run/win in her and this is the ideal race to be doing that!
Coolangatta Maher/Eustace star who won the Moir here last start, when given an excellent ride and all favours close to speed.
She is high-class and will be in it for a very long way.
1st Eleven Eleven
2nd Bella Nipotina
3rd September Run
4th Coolangatta
