Melbourne form expert Deane Lester gave punters an early preview on Friday, of what is in store for them on Saturday. With plays in just two races on the washed-out Moonee Valley program, Lester found a winner in each race.

Lester had two bets in race 4, finding the winner Fission at $6.60 best tote.

He then went on to find the winner in race 5 Direct which paid $5.80.

Punters following Lester's staking plan with an even stake were well and truly in the black when the meeting was abandoned before the running of the Manikato.
