The first month of Spring saw plenty of strong performances from the punters, who owed their success to unearthing plenty of value.

The pro punters in particular were on song, dominating the leaderboard for Profit on Turnover (POT).

It was also a good month for the Media Experts, with plenty of their mob dishing up hefty profits as they gear up for a bumper October.

Read on to see the best racing tipsters in Australia for the month of September.

Best Horse Racing Tipsters: Highest POT

Claiming the top gong (and the $500 cash prize that comes with it) was New South Welshman VacantLot.

This punter from the far south coast stormed to the summit with a whopping 245% POT.

It was all about the value for VacantLot, whose 8 winners got up at a mind-boggling average price of $24.12.

The standout was $65 pop Isn't It Bliss who saluted over in South Africa.

With all of this bloke's September winners coming abroad, he looks a great option for any international tips.

Perth local and pro punter Kudukilat secured the silver and runner's up prize of $250 thanks to some sensational value tipping of his own.

His 19 winners greeted the judge at a mouth-watering average price of $16.23.

The roughest was $130 bolter Sootie Boy who defied his odds to get up at Belmont on the 15th.

With winners like this, it's no wonder Kudikilat clocked off with a 188% POT.

He's exploded out of the barriers.

The next pro punter to make his mark was JoshShields92 from the Mornington Peninsula.

He tipped with an impressive combo of value and accuracy, with his 12 winners saluting at an average price of $5.51 and a strike rate of 39%.

This generated a bumper 113% POT.

On top of that, Shields is now showing four winning weeks on the trot.

The final punter to get a mention is MarkPorcheddu

Another Victorian, some readers would recognise Porcheddu who has contributed to the site in the past with his free tip articles.

Chris Blackwell came home next, after his tips drove a fat 94% POT.

The WA form expert from OzRace has a happy knack of tipping winners well outside the market, and that continued in September.

His 7 winning tips got up at a meaty average price of $8.57.

And also now showing a three-week tipping streak at Kalgoorlie, Blackwell's next tips at the track are sure to be hot property.

The second race caller to make his mark in September was RSN's Adam Crettenden.

While most punters are focusing on the Spring Carnivals in Sydney and Melbourne, Nelson's Queensland tips might be the way to go.

Speaking of the Spring Carnival, one of Sydney's leading form judges has been firing in the early part of the season.

Ron Dufficy bagged 13 Saturday winners in September at a strike rate of 33% and a fat average price of $4.52.

Not only has this resulted in a 47% POT, but Duff is also now showing a four-week winning streak.

But faring best after his horse racing tips drove a thumping cash profit just shy of $8k was Mick Wallace.

The NSW form expert for SKY Racing has been airborne of late.

He jagged no less than 81 winners in September at a meaty average price of $4.94.

There's no reason to suggest that Wallace can't keep this up.

The other media expert to really impress in the cash profit category was our very own Michael Gannon.

Like Wallace, Gannon plies his trade in NSW, regularly steering punters into winners all over the state.

This month he jagged 33 of them at a bumper average price of $5.22.

This generated $4,410 in cash profit for Gannon's followers.

They'll be hoping he repeats the dose in October.
