Eagle Farm Race 5 Tip #4 Daulat Tai Panaziz $4.20

This galloper looks well suited at Eagle Farm, given he performs best on the bigger tracks.

He generally gets right into his work over the final 200-300 metres, so the switch back from Doomben is ideal.

The son of Declaration Of War drops back down to Class 3 grade after a solid 3.2 lengths fifth in a Class 4 at Doomben.

His past two runs have been over the mile trip, so he will now have fitness on his side and can peak here to produce his best run this preparation.

Jockey Mark Du Plessis returns to the saddle after he rode him in his first two starts, which saw him breakthrough for his maiden victory.

From barrier 7, Du Plessis will elect to steer him back towards the rear in the early stages.

This will enable him to find some cover, which suits his racing pattern.

Whilst the rail is out 12 metres, it's only a small 8 horse field and he should be only a few lengths off them on straightening.

With an even enough tempo up front, he is a real live chance of rounding them up and being too strong over the concluding stages.

Scone Race 3 Tip #1 Jervis $3.55

The son of Vancouver impressed on debut when running just under 3 lengths off Titan Star at Gosford.

After jumping cleanly that day, he was given time to find his feet in the run. He was unable to get off heels on turning for home, with Tommy Berry electing to go back to towards the rail in the last 150m.

From that position, he was unable to be fully tested and raced in restricted room down the straight.

He meets inferior opposition today, strips fitter and will no doubt take a stack of improvement off his debut.

Serg Lisnyy takes the ride for Kim Waugh and it's worth noting that 4 of Lisnyy's last 4 winners have been for the Waugh stable.

Jumping from barrier 3, look for Lisnyy to be positive form the gates and put his charge on-speed. From there he'll be able to push the button at the 300m and produce a strong kick.
