Fresh off steering punters into a fill-up last Saturday, we return to the scene of the crime this weekend with more free best bets.

Randwick plays hosts to a cracking 10 race card highlighted by the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes.

The track is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 5m from the 1600m to the winning post and 4m for the remainder of the circuit.

At this set-up, you can expect the track to play fair.

Randwick Race 4 #2 Coastwatch $2.30

He's dual nominated for this and the Caulfield Guineas, but the booking of J Mac suggests he could well race in Sydney.

His run in the Golden Rose was fantastic, running 3rd behind In The Congo and Anamoe.

He defeated his main rival Captivant by 1.5 lengths, so he should be able to account for him again on Saturday.

The third danger in the race, Brigantine, was weak last start when stalling in a slow tempo. He looks to get the same set up here and a repeat of that won't be enough to get the job done.

From barrier 3, look for J Mac to either settle on-speed or lead, before pushing the go button on turn for home and putting a gap in these.

Randwick Race 5 Tip #2 Paulele $2.30

The Godolphin 3YO is in electric form after returning in great shape this prep.

He has put three cracking runs on the board this prep so far and looks to go to a new level in the Group 3 Roman Consul over 1200m.

He was enormous in the Heritage last start, where he was set a near impossible task.

The 1100m chute start at Rosehill always favours on-pace runners, whilst there was also a clear on-pace rails in run advantage that day making his performance extra special.

He could have easily been run off his feet with the fast tempo, but was able to still find a strong kick late and power to the line.

He recorded the fifth fastest last 400m dash (21.88) of the entire meeting. His strength through the line was impressive and gives me the confidence that he will excel over the 1200m.

He has drawn perfectly in barrier 7 and should land in the running line with cover. There looks to be good pace up front, which is a key to his chances.

He drops 2.5kg at the set weights and meets King Of Sparta 3kg better this time around. Godolphin are yet to pick their Everest horse and I think he will put his hand up come Saturday.

Randwick Race 7 Tip #2 Exoboom $17.00

This 4YO's first up performance may have looked disappointing to the eye, but I believe it was a solid hit out for bigger events ahead.

The bookies seem to have overlooked this and he opened up at $20 for the Silver Eagle.

First-up over the unsuited 1100m, he managed to make ground from the back on a day where not many succeeded.

It is worth noting that while he finished in 8th that day, he was very strong through the line and continued to run past the post for the next 100m overtaking plenty of rivals.

As a further indication that this horse is ready to fire next start, in his only trial he crossed the line together with superstar Kiwi Entriviere.

That horse has since won and placed in two Group 2's.

Second-up here, the team Snowden runner steps up to a suitable 1300m and draws well. Sam Clipperton takes the reins and he has partnered him before when leading Exoboom to the Group 3 Hawksbury Guineas.

Look for him to be more prominent in the run around midfield.

The spacious Randwick track will be to his liking and the race shapes up nicely for him with a genuine tempo on offer.

If Clipperton can get him to the outside, expect Exoboom to let down and run a big race much better than the odds suggest.
