08/04/21 Horse Racing Tips for Hong Kong Racing

We head to Happy Valley on Thursday night for 9 races which will be held on the "A" course.

The weather in Hong Kong is currently fine and the going for tonight's meeting will be Good to Firm.

The feature race for the day will be the Class 2 1000m in Race 3, where Grateful Heart will be keen to notch up his fifth win this season.

In addition to that runner, Zac Purton has 8 other mounts which all have a strong winning chance, as he looks set to ride plenty of winners.

Happy Valley Race 2 #2 Owners' Star $6.00

Owners' Star has only placed twice in his 8 starts this season, but both have come over this course and distance.

His recent two runs over 1650m were solid, but this distance is too short for him.

The step up to 1800m suits him well and he's dropped to his lowest rating of 52, so he'll be more than competitive in this grade.

He will be ridden by Zac Purton who knows the horse well and I expect him to prove too good for this field.

 

Happy Valley Race 7 Tip #1 Glorious Lover $2.40

Glorious Lover is very consistent over this course and distance and although he is still a maiden in Hong Kong, he is honest and always puts up a good fight.

Last time out, he debuted for the Dennis Yip stable running third behind More Than Enough and Regency Master.

This time Zac Purton will ride again and jumping from barrier 2 is perfect.

This looks a weak race and it's time for Glorious Lover to break his maiden.
