Free horse racing tips and Saturday best bets from our leading team of tipsters. The form has been done and the team is ready to kick-start the massive day of racing ahead.
Doomben Race 7 Tip #11 So Clever $2.10
This lightly raced 5YO gelding led in his first two career starts for two victories, yet wasn’t 'so clever' missing the jump last time when up in grade.
Even when he missed the kick, his last performance was super impressive.
He had to work hard early to push through the pack finding himself three wide for the greater part of the race.
With all that went wrong he could be forgiven for tiring, but he showed great determination to box on well to finish second.
Connections have gone with a senior rider this time in Jim Byrne, who should be able to control the tempo from the front.
The son of Choisir does give a good kick in the straight and I expect him to get the better of this field before going on to bigger things.

Flemington Race 7 Tip #7 Hosier $1.80
This Irish import has looked mighty impressive in his three Australian runs.
To add to his credentials, his winning margins have totalled 13 lengths and he has been let up a few times before the line.
This 5YO gelding by Camelot is an exciting prospect and he'll be able to handle a Benchmark 78 and I expect him to compete at a much higher level.
He will relish the 2000m of Flemington and I'm confident he can make it four out of four in Australia.

Randwick Race 8 Tip #2 Mazu $9.00
Mazu is a horse I have had a very high opinion of since his first trials over a year ago.
This 3YO colt really surges to the line and to my eye, excels when challenged by other horses.
This year's edition of the Rosebud is stacked with talent, led by boom horse Remarque. There will be an absolute slog-fest in the straight, which will suit this guy perfectly.
Mazu's last run before a spell was in the Group 3 Pago Pago, where he was mightily unlucky in the straight, continuing to run into the backside of horses. He only got clear air with 150m to go and really surged to the line to finish third behind Shaquero and Tiger Of Malay.
With an abundance of speed in this clash, tactics will play an important role. From barrier 9, he will be able to find a position just behind the front runners, before presenting to the outside when hitting the home straight.
The odds on offer at the moment are well overs and you can expect him to start much shorter come race time.
One to follow for his spring campaign.

Doomben Race 7 Tip #11 So Clever $2.10
From his trips to the races so far in his short career, this horse absolutely oozes class and strikes a very winnable race this Saturday.
Last start, he did everything wrong in the run to only just miss.
He was slowly away after being hampered at the start, and then over-raced and was hung out. Despite the troublesome journey, he only got beat by 0.2 of a length.
That was only his third start being a late maturing gelding, and the stable have made changes coming into this race.
The senior jockey has been booked and the winkers have been applied.
All he needs to do is forget the last run and jump well to find a lovely trailing position on the fence.
From that position, he can put them away in the straight with ease.

Belmont Race 1 Tip #1 Buster Basher $2.35
Buster Bash has grown a leg this campaign getting onto the heavier tracks and middle distances.
His last 3 starts have been super impressive.
Three back he placed second to promising mare Dark Lass, after being grabbed on the line.
He then won his maiden when beating home Memorable, who went on to jag her first career victory at her next outing.
Last start was a 6 length demolition job over Ghobella, who has also franked the geldings form by going on to notch up a victory.
Kristy Bennett picks up the ride with a 2kg claim, and she is a good judge on these front running types.
In a race with only one other potential leader on paper, Axel 'R' Eight, Buster Bash will either sit outside that horse or be push from the widest draw.
They will all be left chasing this highly promising 4YO, who I expect to be just be too strong for them.
