The action in Hong Kong continues today, with a 9 races card to play out on the Valley's 'A' course.

The weather will be nice once again and the ground is expected to be Good to Firm.

David Hayes scored 4 winners last Sunday at Sha Tin, two of those were with rising stars Lord Thunder and Nervous Witness. He is now the leading trainer with 12 winners this season.

For the jockey ranking, Zac Purton is on the top with 16 winners. He has at least one win in each meeting this season and is likely to continue his winning form on Wednesday.

 

 

Happy Valley Race 2 #1 Seize The Spirit $3.40

Seize The Spirit had a forgivable run last time out over 1400m at Sha Tin.

Although he jumped fast, he didn't lead and stayed wide without cover.

It was not bad as he finished 4th and was just beaten by a length.

This Me Tsui-trained 7YO has had several good runs at the city track before and he should perform better this time.

He'll be competitive in Class 5 and has the services with Joao Moreira again. He deserves one more chance to win.

 

Happy Valley Race 5 #5 Good Shot $4.60

Last season over the same course and distance, Good Shot was beaten by some quality horses such as Spontaneous and Xponential, but was often unlucky.

He's now at his career lowest rating of 48 and will carry only 55kg tonight.

Before his seasonal debut he performed well at a barrier trial, jumping fast and then running on nicely.

Zac Purton takes the ride again and has the ideal draw from gate 4. I think he can bounce back tonight.
