Today's edition of free best bets takes place in the Riverina region of southern NSW, where Wagga plays host to a 10 race card.

The track is currently rated a Heavy 9, with the rail out 7m from the 1400m to the winning post, then true for the remainder of the circuit.

Check out my two best plays below and you can back the remainder of my tips via HOT Bet here

Wagga Race 1 Tip #7 My Alma $34.00 each-way

This gelding by Al Maher has had the one Kembla trial in preparation for his debut.

He wasn't asked to do anything early in the run, but closed off very well under his own steam, making good ground past the post.

Ignore the 5.8 length 5th of 6 finish, his trial was much better than that.

Jess Taylor rides plenty of winners for the Bateup stable, with that duo striking at an impressive 16.4% this season.

There are plenty of unknowns about this horse, but he looks to have some ability and at the $34, I'm happy to be with him on a 1x4 basis.

Wagga Race 5 Tip #13 Single Swag $13.00

There a quite a few plodders lining up in this race who just struggle to win races.

Additionally, the top three runners in the market have apprentices onboard and all look a risk at their set-ups.

That said, Single Swag ticks plenty of boxes and looks the value play of the day.

He was strong on debut over 1000m on a Heavy track and will no doubt take significant improvement from that run.

He sticks to the 1000m and finds another rain affected track which is a big tick given how well he went last time out.

From barrier 3, look for Brendan Ward to hold a prominent position in the run, before fighting out the finish.
