While it's usually the pro punters and media experts battling it out for bragging rights, this time it was the regular punters who stood tall.

They claimed four of the six podium positions, racking up some monster profits in the process.

The pro punters also had success, with one in particular featuring in the highest Profit on Turnover (POT) category for the second month running.

And the media tipsters weren't all that far behind, with horse racing tipsters from Racing.com and SKY Racing having the best of it.

Read on to discover all of April's top performers.

Securing the silver for the second month running was fellow pro punter Gary Monahan

Also calling the harbour city home, Monahan has been on fire with his Saturday selections through the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

His biggest inroads came on Day Two of the Championships, where Monahan bagged two $20+ pops in two of the day's Group 1 races.

All up, Monahan jagged 7 winners across April, at an insane average price of $23.

This generated a whopping 118% POT for this pro, whose horse racing tips have now driven $7,660 in cash profit over the past 90 days.

Rounding out the podium with an impressive 107% POT was Queensland punter Oldrogue

The Gold Coast local also bagged stacks of value, with his 19 winners greeting the judge at an enormous average price of $19.16.
