Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Jumped out very nicely. Won maiden by panels fresh last prep then highly competitive with last week%u2019s G1 placegetter Tuvalu. Certainly short enough $2.20 early but top-rater.

 

Race 3 Tab Edward Manifold Stakes - 1. She's Licketysplit

Comment and top ratings: Great chase/ win fresh in NZ and that form ties in with Wolverine who is racing very well in Sydney Vs some elites. This girl had her first Oz start in Guineas Prelude and was wide no cover on strong speed, with 59kg, and very brave. Blinkers on, back to set-weights and doubt 1600m any issue.

 

Race 4 Furphy Rose Of Kingston Stakes - 13. Fortunate Kiss

Comment and top ratings: Hit line sweetly fresh in slick time then badly held-up in Let%u2019s Elope and only clear when race was over, she did charge that last 100m and was 1100m-to-1400m there 2nd-up. That form franked MV Friday with Daisies (5th) beating Lady Of Honour (2nd). Draws in. Good roughie $21%u2026???

 

Race 4 Furphy Rose Of Kingston Stakes - 5. Argentia

Comment and top ratings: Resumes. Big finish/ win at 1200m fresh last prep in G3 then very good in 2 x G2 races. Been jumping out well. Very wary.

 

Race 5 Hq Tavern Danehill Stakes - 3. Giga Kick

Comment and top ratings: Strong return win here then ran quality last 600m to win Vain Stks. 3rd-horse Millane was beaten 3.7L in G1 Golden Rose.

 

Race 6 The Lexus Bart Cummings - 8. Lunar Flare

Comment and top ratings: Hit line nicely fresh then 3rd-fastest last 200m in Heatherlie 2nd-up. Loved her last 100m (race-fastest home) in Naturalism latest and gets to staying trip now. When at this distance range last prep she beat High Emocean and then beat Melb Cup 4th-placed Floating Artist. $9 early looks value.

 

Race 6 The Lexus Bart Cummings - 4. Daqiansweet Junior

Comment and top ratings: Well, he too is ticking over beautifully! He was only 2nd-up in that Naturalism and he zoomed that last 100m (last 200m was 4/100ths off Lunar Flare%u2019s) and he too will relish getting to staying trip. His Sydney Cup run Vs pattern was outstanding!

 

Race 7 Turnbull Stakes 2022 - 12. Gold Trip

Comment and top ratings: Very good at his Oz debut with 61kg at unsuitable trip then ave all in Naturalism but was 7-weeks between runs and gave Smokin Romans stack of weight%u2026 He meets that guy 7kg better now and fitter.

 

Race 7 Turnbull Stakes 2022 - 4. Profondo

Comment and top ratings: Wide/ Very good return when loomed to beat Anamoe but peaked late. Stuck wet tracks his last two. Been waiting for him back on dry and likely gets that here. Can win !

 

Race 8 Gilgai Stakes - 8. Athelric

Comment and top ratings: Chased Eduardo (in best ground) fresh then was not far off Mazu/ Masked Crusader in The Shorts latest. Drier won%u2019t hurt! Back a notch here.

 

Race 8 Gilgai Stakes - 6. Roch 'n' Horse

Comment and top ratings: Good return given 1000m/ MV hardly ideal. Just missed Baler in Bobbie Lewis and now draws out with weight swing. Newmarket Hcp winner here.

 

Race 9 Abc Bullion Super Impose Stks - 4. Artzino

Comment and top ratings: Gapped third on debut (winner had Flash Feeling form) then great chase/ win Hillside beating Ferrari Man (won maiden by 6L) and Berardino who was then 5th and not disgraced to Aft Cabin in Guineas lead-up.
