About Warwick Farm Racecourse
Located in Sydney's South-West, Warwick Farm is one of the city's four metropolitan tracks. A green and leafy course
on the banks of the Georges River, "The Farm" is considered by some to be Sydney's most picturesque track.
While it doesn't see the regular Group One action of Randwick and Rosehill, the standard of racing is always high at
Warwick Farm. The highlight meet takes place in February, where the running of the Inglis Millenium really
kick-starts the Autumn Carnival in Sydney.
With a long, wide straight, and chutes for the 1400 and 1600-metre starts, the racing tends to be fair at The Farm.
The 1400-metre start in particular gives all horses a chance no-matter how wide they're drawn in the barriers.
Horses face long dash down the side straight before they hit the turn into the home straight.
