7/9/20 Best horse racing tips today

Wellington hosts a solid seven race card to kick off the week on Monday.

With large fields engaged throughout the day, this is an attractive meeting to be betting up.

The track is currently rated a Soft 5, and sunshine is forecast for the NSW Great Western Plains region.

The rail is in the true position, which should ensure all runners get their chance.

The horse I want to mention from the pre-stewards report is Brunela, who runs around in race 6.

The Supreme Class mare was denied a run at Narromine last start, when she finished 6 of 9. When rounding the home turn, she ran into a wall of horse before shifting to the inside for clear running but it was all too late.

She gets her chance to improve here following a freshen up, as she steps back to her preferred distance on a track she's proven at.

Wellington Race 7 Tip #5 Emilette $2.90

The Epaulette mare has been in very good form and looks set to continue that here.

She impressed at Muswellbrook at her first two runs this prep, before heading to Randwick to finish third in a strong Highway race. 

Brenton Avdulla took her to the front that day from a wide barrier, and she was only run down late by Pinnacle Prince and the talented winner It's Me. 

She drops back from 1100m to 900m for this clash which is a huge tick and Greg Ryan jumps back on board. 

From the draw, expect Ryan to stroll straight to the lead whilst doing little work before proving very hard to run down.
