Epsom Handicap: Horses to follow  Horse Racing

Gator says...

PROBABEEL

She put in a lovely return last week after racing away from Funstar late to finish second over 1200m on rain affected going.

Connections have indicated that drier ground will be even better for her.

This year's Epsom Handicap might well be one for the four-year-old's.

FUNSTAR

I was initially disappointed with her first-up run, but looking back she actually ran very well.

It's clear that the slowly run 1200m gave her no hope as she couldn’t quicken, however her late splits were good.

Don't sack her yet.

IMAGING

He was recently gelded and has since put in two fabulous runs, including a last start fourth in the Group One Winx Stakes.

With more luck in each of those runs, he could well have come away with the chocolates.

He won't be weighted out of an Epsom and is one to follow.

Gannon says...

IMAGING

Is deadest flying this prep and with luck, he'd have won at both starts.

Will have the Chris Waller polish applied and looks the best early play for mine.

DAWN PASSAGE

I can't see any reason why the Waterhouse/Bott team won't try this talented galloper over 1600m this prep.

He has residual fitness from his Brisbane Winter campaign and is class conveyance.

RELOADED

This lightly raced galloper from the Waller yard returns to the track on Saturday.

His trials have been super and he profiles as a horse that Waller will send to the Epsom.

I expect him to run well on Saturday, which would see his current quote slashed!
