Happy Valley is the venue for Wednesday racing in Hong Kong, with 8 races to be run over the ‘C+3’ course.

This is the narrowest track at Happy Valley, which offers advantages to front-runners.

There has been constant rain over the past few days, but the forecast predicts sunshine on Wednesday which will see us racing on a Good surface.

Joao Moreira, Zac Purton and Karis Teetan have combined for 30 winners so far this season.

Each of them have a moderate book of rides for today's meeting, which will give other jockeys such as Chad Schofield, Vagner Borges and Blake Shinn the chance to shine at the Valley.

Happy Valley Race 2 Tip #4 Jazz Steed $3.10

Jazz Steed showed good improvement during the summer.

He returned off a 56-day freshen last start and disappointed at this track, after Chad Schofield opted to lead throughout only to fade late.

After a warm up run, he galloped well during trackwork under Schofield on Monday and looks ready to produce a big effort second-up here.

Jumping from barrier 9, expect him to take a sit just off the pace before showing a good turn of foot to return to the winner's circle.

Happy Valley Race 5 Tip #6 Beauty Angel $3.10

Beauty Angel broke his maiden from the widest barrier at his last start over 1800m at Sha Tin.

It was an impressive victory considering he was green throughout and hadn't yet proved himself over the distance.

He's well suited returning to the 1800m at Happy Valley, where he's placed at the track and distance.

Despite his rating increasing after his last start win, he'll carry 55kg in the same class of race.

Joao Moreira retains the ride in an attempt to score back-to-back wins.
