Sunday’s Sha Tin 10-race card will be run on three surfaces; the all weather, the A+3 course and the dirt track.

The three dirt races are all run over 1200m and it will be important for horses to possess early speed in order to find a favourable on-speed position.

Occasional rain is forecast for Hong Kong on Sunday, but the expected going will be Good.

One of the feature events of the day is Race 8, where Tempest Express will make his debut in Hong Kong. That horse was formerly known as Napster and makes his first appearance on foreign soil after notching up two victories from three career starts under the care of Joseph Pride in NSW.

It's a tough race for this gelding who is now trained by John Size, as he faces several rising stars including Inner Flame, Sky Field and True Legend.

Sha Tin Race 5 Tip #3 Regency Master $1.75

Regency Master had six starts in Hong Kong last season, scoring a win and a third over 1600m.

Last time out, the horse cruised to victory by a margin of 1.5-lengths under Zac Purton.

He ran the last 400m in 22.24, which was the fastest sectional time in that field.

This four-year-old gelding ran well in a trial on 26 August, which suggested he has matured and has come back stronger.

Zac will be on board again which is a positive. He knows the horse well, having ridden him for several gallops during trackwork.

The horse will jump from gate 1, where he can follow the leading horses with cover and then show a good turn of foot late.

Sha Tin Race 2 Tip #5 Galaxy Emperor $15

Galaxy Emperor is now at his lowest rating of 35, but he has the potential to bounce back.

His new training environment at Conghua will help freshen him up and ensure he comes back with a new lease of life from the summer break.

He trialled well on 27 August at Conghua, showing good gate speed and leading until the end.

He has drawn a good gate for this assignment and will find the lead with ease.

Assuming he jumps well under Karis Teetan, he has a huge chance to break his maiden.
