The Theo Marks Stakes is a lead up race to the Group One Epsom Handicap. Run over 1300m, the winner of the Theo Marks is exempt from ballet for this season's Epsom Handicap.
Past winners of the Theo Marks include champions Winx (2015), More Joyus (2010) and Shogun Lodge (2001).
Arcadia Queen has come up a short price favourite here, with her stablemate Enticing Star likely to accept for the Sheraco Stakes.
Former Wester Australian based galloper Arcadia Queen has been transferred to the Chris Waller stable and is being aimed at The Everest.
With an imposing career record (6:5-0-1), this Group One winning mare is a star on the rise who is looking to leave her mark on the Sydney racing scene. She's coming into this race off the back of a Rosehill and Canterbury trial and looks set to fire first-up.
Other runners of note include Trope, whose first-up run in the Group Three Show County was full of merit. Stripping fitter for his second-up run, the Team Hawkes trained stallion is likely to give the short-priced favourite a run for her money.
The other is Baller, who broke a drought to earn a well-deserved win at Randwick last Saturday. On the quick back-up, the Anthony Cummings trained galloper will prove hard to run down.
