How Gator got on

 AAP

David Gately has been tearing it up over the past few months.

His tips have produced profit after profit for his followers.

In fact, if you'd followed his staking plan over the past six weeks, you'd have generated 21% POT.

You can't ask for much more from an analyst who covers at least two meetings worth of form each Saturday

Last Saturday was a rare off day for Gator, after a few of his selections were unlucky to run a place.

But he still managed to steer punters into the winner of the feature event at Caulfield, the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Gator's best bet at Randwick also got up, giving punters more to cheer about.

The popular form analyst has been working tirelessly all week, pouring over the form for Mornington, Golden Rose Stakes day, as well as Underwood Stakes day. Get your hands on his racing package including his exclusive staking plan here.

To see how he went in Sydney last week, read on.

David Gately's horse racing tips review at Randwick 21st August 2019

Race 1: #3 Feel The Knight (Low)

Not the best start to the day with Feel The Knight dropping out of it to finish 7th.

Race 2: #13 Eugene's Pick (Medium)

This mare ran a solid race in what was a wide-open betting event.

Unluckily for punters who had an each-way bet, Eugene's Pick just missed out on 3rd place.

Race 3: #7 Dealmaker (Medium)

Dealmaker also ran a solid race, making some ground from the tail of the field.

He couldn't find a placing though.

Race 4: #1 Libertini (High)

This ultra-talented filly from the Anthony Cummings yard can consider herself unlucky not to get the win.

She was in a three-way drive to the line with Funstar and Probabeel.

Unfortunately, the photo didn't go Libertini's way.

Race 5: #7 Cascadian (High)

Gator was confident that this Godolphin import would get the job done.

He just got too far back in the field though, and despite a strong final furlong, could only manage 4th.

Race 6: #3 Pierata (Medium)

The day finally got going when Gator steered his followers into Pierata.

The boom colt sat just off the speed, before swinging to the outside and mowing down the leading pair Redzel and Classique Legend.

He paid $2.80.

Race 7: #2 Avilius (High) - Best Bet

Gator made it back-to-back winners when his best bet Avilius put them to the sword in the Group One George Main Stakes.

The mile start on the soft track suited Avilius down to the ground, as he had the superior turn of foot to power over the top of them.

He won easily, and returned a decent $3.10.

Race 8: #18 Supernova (High)

This Hawkes-team galloper was another who was guilty of getting too far back in the run.

Horses like Finche and Stampede were up on the speed and just didn't get passed.

Race 9: #7 Greyworm (Medium)

Another bit of bad luck to end the day.

Greyworm looked set to grab the win, and surely would've if the race was just that little bit shorter.

He was passed in the final few strides though, and finished 3rd.
