Australia's racing media experts rack up the profit

Spring has finally sprung, bringing on the best time of the year for racing fans.

While it was a relatively quiet seven days for amateur punters, the media experts showed why they are called "the pros", and will look to use this week as a springboard for the rest of the carnival.

Second place on the weekly leaderboard for most cash profit over the past seven days was Chris Blackwell, a form analyst for West Australian online publication Oz Race. Blackwell found over six grand of profit for followers of his staking plan, putting them well in the black.

Best horse racing tipsters

Blackwell's stats reveal the extent of the value he delivered to his followers over the week.

His eight winning tips averaged very tasty odds of $8.11, which is great value in anybody's language. That effort represented an impressive 80% POT and an even higher 111% POT for those punters who used his staking plan.

A superb week of tipping for Blackwell making happy readers of the popular racing website publication.

However, it's not just a great week that Blackwell has had. In the last 30 days, the West Australian form analyst has recorded $6,720 in profit from $100 win bets, representing 47% POT.

If you take Actual Stake into consideration over the same period, where stakes on best bets are doubled, Blackwell is sitting on a mountainous ten grand of profit. That's a colossal effort from a month of tipping, and he's certainly one to keep your eye on over coming weeks.

If you think that effort is worthy of praise then hold your horses.

With almost four grand in profit over the past seven days, Super Racing and The Sportman's Shayne O'Cass finds himself once again tipping up a storm.

Remarkably, this is not the second but the third consecutive week that O'Cass has been one of our tipsters of the week.

In last week's Tipster of the Week article we reported how O'Cass racked up more than $3,000 in profit, and the week before the News Limited form guru delivered his followers 380% POT on his day to remember at Moruya where he almost tipped the card.

Returning to this week, O'Cass' hefty profit came from 20 winning tips at an average winning price of more than $5.50 representing 54% POT. A great effort in its own right, let alone the success O'Cass has had of late.

While the media dominated, there were some noteworthy performances from the punters. Professional punters VacantLot and Foxones both made over 150% POT and achieved their PRO status by making double digit profit on turnover either over the past 30, 90, 180, 365 days or using their life-time statistics.
