3/8/19 Moonee Valley tips and best bets for Saturday Racing

Best bets at The Valley
AAPMoonee Valley plays host to the first Saturday Melboune metropolitan meeting of the new racing season.
Large fields are the theme across a competitive nine-race card.
The rail is in the true position and the track is currently rated a Soft 5.
Punters should expect a Good racing rurface come race one, with sunshine forecasted in the lead up to Saturday.
Given this is the first meeting since the 22nd March, the track should play evenly throughout the meeting.
Moonee Valley Race 2 Tip #8 Rumble Doll $11.00 each-way
This exciting filly from the Henry Dwyer yard comes off a dominant 3.75 length win over 1000m at Sandown Hillside, and ticks plenty of boxes here.
Not only will she ping the lids and go straight to the front around the tight turning Valley circuit, she'll do so with only 52.5kg on her back.
Third-up on a drier track and with a clear fitness edge on her rivals, she'll get her chance to run these along.
If she's taken any improvement at all from her last start win, she'll prove awfully hard to run down.
Moonee Valley Race 3 Tip #11 Kiss and Cry $4.60
This mare by Dundeel returns to a more suitable distance and drops 9kg from a narrow 0.2 length defeat last start.
She meets a field with little depth here and at only her ninth career run, she looks to have far more upside than her rivals as she steps up to the mile.
From barrier two, look for Lachlan King to sit mid-field with cover.
She'll be travelling in the run and if the breaks come, expect her to fly over the top late.
Moonee Valley Race 7 Tip #9 Dylan's Romance $15.00 each-way
If the track plays fair later in the day as expected, then the Sydney based galloper will give this field something to catch.
His effort two starts back over the 2000m at Rosehill was dominant.
He then stepped up in grade at Randwick, where he defied the racing pattern of the day to lead and finish within one-length of the winner.
Steven Baster has been booked for the ride and will suit this front-runner down to the ground. The gun rider is top-class and produces his best work when he's left alone in front.
If the track plays fair or shows any advantage towards on-pacers, I suspect this runner will receive late support in the betting.
