Pro Punters Unleash

A huge result for loyal readers of this column last week.

We identified no fewer than four winners across the feature Sydney and Melbourne meets, including All Too Royal who stormed to victory in the last at Kensington paying $7.

This produced a thumping 83% POT for punters who snapped up the odds at the time of publication.

The pro punters have been at it again this week, with big moves seen at both Moonee Valley and Randwick. We have followed their money trail and added our own views on the below selections.

As always, a further market push close to start time would add extreme confidence.

Moonee Valley

Moonee Valley Tips

Shot Of Irish

I love when Ben Melham is booked to ride one that has been backed, as he seems to be the rider of choice when stables are setting one up to win.

The Caulfield run last start behind the very smart Age Of Chivalry says it all, where he chased hard the entire trip to place 3 of 11.

Rock hard fit now and should simply win. Yes.

Condos Express

I don’t know how the ownership had this name approved, considering they operate horse transport business “Condo’s Express”. Great exposure nonetheless.

He won on debut here at Moonee Valley last start, so there's no doubts over whether he'll handle the track.

The speed map looks ideal and from gate 2, the rider should push up along the rail to sit just in behind the leaders. Top hope.

Terbium

Was the “giant slayer” from two preps back, when he took down the highly talented and heavily hyped stallion prospect Zousain.

Since then, he has had one run in between which is odd. However, it's likely they wanted to keep the horse ticking over and he finished midfield in Group 2 company at Morphettville.

He clearly has a touch of quality and should account for these with ease.

Charossa

Is an Adelaide raider from the shrewd Grant Richards yard, who got the cash in Melbourne last start with this runner at Flemington.

Slightly exposed to the market now with the impressive win last time out, however I don’t like to second-guess this particular stable.

The horse must have been bucking his brand off all week to remain in town and is sure to run well again. Yes.

Randwick

Randwick Tips

Adana

Has not been the punters pal of late, after being supported in betting and not firing at his past few.

He strikes a weak race here under ideal conditions (53.5kg) and gets the gun run from gate 1.

Top rider Kerrin McEvoy sticks on, which is enough for me and he should be in the finish somewhere.

The money looks warranted.

True Detective

Was unlucky here last start when heavily backed ($1.80 into $1.60), before blowing the start and still only just missing by 0.2 lengths.

James McDonald has been booked to take over and I doubt Waller will be accepting any pilot errors this time out.

Just needs to jump with them on this occasion to be very hard to beat. Should atone.

Mizzy

Carried a huge boom last prep, when the stable opted to enter in two high profile Group 1 races the Coolmore Classic and Surround Stakes.

The trackwork whispers are that she is very smart and could be in for a very productive Spring.

She has trialled well against the topliners including Sunlight and Alizee in the lead up to this and this race looks perfect first-up. Yes.

Prime Candidate

Was backed off the map at Rosehill last start and punters were spot on when he got the cash.

They seem to be playing up their winnings again here and why not, in a race that sets up perfectly for him to run along on speed without much pressure.

He has come back a different horse after over a year off before the return this prep. Could be a potential Spring star.
