Shrewd moves

Spring is in the air and a return to Flemington this week sees punters very active in anticipation of the Spring Carnival.

Rosehill also features a number of strong betting moves identified below, where pro punters have locked onto the perceived mispriced runners.

As always, a further market push inside the final minute of betting would create extreme confidence.

Flemington

Flemington Tips

Not A Single Cent

Has been subject of a savage push in betting and the money certainly looks warranted.

He kept on coming at Caulfield last start, when he got back in the field and set a near impossible task to reel in the leader.

Has a touch of class with plenty of stakes level performances and could just blow these all away. Yes.

Maozi

Is from the shrewd Team Snowden yard, who usually place them to advantage.

She started favourite ($2.60) last start at Sandown, when finishing 2 of 10 after encountering traffic and being held up throughout.

Although she will get back in the run, with more luck this time out she can definitely atone.

Twilight Run

Disappointed at Moonee Valley last start, when he was hard in betting markets all week and could only manage a 6 of 11 finish.

The money was there last time out to suggest he has trained on and punters should give him another chance, now back to Flemington which he enjoys.

The speed looks fast and this will suit his get back and run-on profile. Yes.

Assertive Approach

Arrives via a Listed race at Morphettville, where he led and won with ease by 1.2 lengths after being well backed.

I have to respect Team Hawkes coming straight to Flemington and in a quality field, the heavy support in betting suggests he is very smart.

Lightly raced (3:3-0-0) and is a huge chance to keep the unbeaten record intact here. Yes.

Rosehill

Rosehill Tips

Dawn Passage

Ran in the inaugural rich Inglis Millennium race last start, where he was backed off the map and very brave after coming wide to finish 3 of 14.

The Waterhouse/Bott yard had a huge wrap on him as a two-year-old and the money suggests he has come back just as good now one year older.

Just needs to be fully wound up, going into what could be a long three-year-old campaign.

Look for further support on race day to confirm he is ready to win first-up after the break.

Drachenfels

Featured in this column last week before just missing at Randwick after getting well back to finish 2 of 8.

From gate 6, they may ride closer on this occasion to be in a more favourable striking position.

The weight drop (4.5kg) is also a massive tick and he can easily bounce back to winning form.

Costello

Is one from one third-up and gets to his more suitable 2000m distance, following the two lead up runs this prep.

The Dr Drill form also looks strong, with that horse likely to start favourite at Flemington.

Looking at the times from the last start, no runner bettered his closing sectionals which should be telling late here. Yes.

The Avenger

Has the powerful Chris Waller/James McDonald combination on his side which is always hard to beat.

He has been racing well recently in Queensland and it's a good sign to see Waller travelling the horse to Sydney.

The speed map suits where from gate 4, J Mac can tag the leaders just in behind before sprinting hard.

Another push in betting close to start time would scream Yes!

With racing experts like Deane Lester, David Gately and Mark Hunter posting their exclusive racing analysis at theGreatTipOff.com, it's no wonder that punters are calling us the authority for tipster profits in Australia.
