Class rise too steep

This week's edition of Lays of the Day features two horses set to be exposed as they make the leap into tougher grade.
A $1.55 pop has caught the eye of Michael at Eagle Farm, as a promising filly faces a challenging speed map.
Meanwhile Lewis opposes a highly rated three-year-old at The Valley, who makes his first trip to Melbourne after cutting his teeth in Adelaide.

Eagle Farm Race 4 #9 Bleu Zebra $1.55
Reasoning: Class Rise, Speed Map
This I Am Invincible filly was dominant on debut at the Sunshine Coast, when she was sent out a $1.26 favourite.
She jumped fairly in that hit-out and was able to find her feet early, before pressing forward and leading them up at a slow clip.
Given the lack of depth in that field and the picnic she had out in front, she was entitled to kick well in the straight.
The form from that race is only moderate and this filly would have to improve significantly, if she's any chance of repeating the dose up against this lot.
Not only is she racing against the boys this time but 9 of the 12 horses engaged have also broken their maiden status, some in nice style to boot.
With three speedy types drawn outside her, there's a big chance she'll end up in a battle out in front.
If she is only moderately away, she could very well find herself two pairs back which would be panic stations for favourite punters.
Either way, you couldn't possibly entertain taking the $1.55 about this filly.
She may have a big future, but she looks a huge risk at the price!

The Valley Race 9 #19 Hypersonic $2.70
Reasoning: Class Rise, Distance
The gelding needs 5 scratchings to get into this race but if he does make the field, I won't be anywhere near the $2.70 quote.
He's a young horse coming off two wins in much easier grade down in Adelaide.
Last start he had every favour one could wish for, when he was up on-speed over the 1000m before duly saluting.
Stepping up to 1200m here is my big query.
He was just starting to get tired through the line in that last hit-out. Now he has to stretch out a further 200m in tougher grade and in a race with much more pressure.
It's the biggest accepting race of the day, and I wouldn't be surprised to see anything lob here.
He'll be going around without me and I expect him to be found out.
