Avid trial watcher Ben Beare has a keen eye for spotting talented runners before they make it to the track, studying jumpouts and barrier trials to ensure punters are in the know.

The selections below are horses Ben has been following closely and runners he has identified as having above-average ability.

 

Flemington Race 5 Tip #6 So You Swing $4.00

This filly's jump-out form prior to her debut was brilliant.

Travelling well within herself, she took the eye behind Yulong Wain who has since broken his maiden.

Her first career start came on an unsuitable heavy track, with the girl from So You Think flying home late for a nice win.

She then backed that up with an impressive second-up run, where she closed hard late for a solid second to the talented Social Spin. 

Her racing pattern and breeding suggests she'll relish the step-up to the 1800m. 

 

Randwick Race 1 Tip #11 Churning $11

This filly by Lohnro bumps into some talented gallopers here but did impress at her most recent trial.

That day she scooted down the straight, defeating a class horse in Nassaayim and looked well suited on top of the ground. 

Her only career start was a third placing on a heavy surface.

Punters should expect plenty of improvement on a Good track and she looks a good each-way bet at the $11.

Morpettville Race 8 Tip #8 Tan Tat Trusting $3.30

This gelding from the Tony McEvoy yard impressed at a recent Flemington jump-out when making ground on some talented types. 

He followed that effort with an impressive 3-length win over the Ballarat 1400m on a heavy surface.

Once again on a rain-affected surface, the son of Trusting will prove difficult to run down.

Drawn perfectly in barrier four, expect Jamie Kah to lead and make every post a winner.
