Eagle Farm Race 6 Tip #1 Ballistic Boy $3.00

Has been finishing off his races strongly, which indicates he should be suited up in distance for this.

Last start in the Group 3 Gunsynd over 1800m, he gave Supergiant 3-lengths start at the 200m and missed running him down by a whisker.

He finished much stronger than his rivals in what is the key form-line for this race.

Now into his eighth run this campaign, he's rock hard fit and should be suited by the step-out to 2200m

I’m not convinced the others have the staying power or class to match this son of Smart Missile.

Expect him to be mowing them down in the straight.

Belmont Race 8 Tip #10 Showmanship $2.00

Showmanship vs Resortman, a mouth-watering clash for two lightly raced geldings who are going places.

Showmanship is yet to put a foot wrong, with his only blemish being behind Samizdat when he had no luck at all.

Despite racing greenly first-up, he was the only runner of the meeting to clock a sub 34 second last 600m split.

The winkers go on to help the gelding's focus and the step-up to 1400m looks ideal for him.

The speed in the race should be good, with Bruce Almighty, Resortman and Flying Roar all looking to race prominent.

As is customary in the Pink and White silks, Pike will look for cover midfield and come with one strong run down the middle.

Morphettville Race 4 Tip #1 Patented $3.10

This two-year-old colt showed good ability at the jump-outs in his first preparation

He then ran third on debut and was only beaten less than half a length, but pulled up with a slow recovery and was also found to be lame.

He resumed this time in with a strong 3.5 length win at Cranbourne, where he did at both ends.

I think State of Class may go forward in this clash, and this guy can get a nice run in behind and prove too strong late.

Morphettville Race 2 Tip #4 Be My Star $1.90

This four-year-old galloper from the Will Clarken stable is absolutely airborne and looks hard to beat.

She’s always been a mare with plenty of ability, which she's demonstrated through her trips to Victoria.

She's come back in great order, having strung together three impressive performances.

Two starts back, she got an absolute peach of a ride from Todd Pannell to claim victory in the SA Sprint Series Final.

She was thrown in the deep end last start, running gamely in Group 3 company. In that clash, she was left a sitting duck out in-front but managed to stick on for fourth against some quality opposition.

The team have decided to give her a three-week freshen up in preparation for this thin BM82 race.

Many of these are either stepping up in grade or are well past their best, whereas this mare still has improvement to come.

She draws perfectly in barrier 1 and has the versatility to either lead or sit just behind Irish Mint, who could push across.

Despite being at an odds-on quote, I have her marked shorter and I will be surprised if she doesn’t start closer to the $1.50 mark.
