Albion Park Race 1 Tip #7 Just Rokin $2.70

JUST ROKIN (6) finds a very suitable race here. Pete McMullen has chosen to drive her over his stable runner and I think he can launch her out of the gate.

If she finds the front, she will be very hard to get past. I have her marked $2.30.

DEMETER (9) is going well and if there is good pressure up front, she will come into it. Can hit the line strong but needs some luck. I have her marked $7.20.

GODDESS JUJON (10) was very good last week and much like DEMETER (9), she will come into the race if there is some pressure up front. She is also marked $7.20.

INNOCENT CROCKER (2) is well placed class wise, but Pete has chosen to drive JUST ROKIN (6) over her so that does give a lead. I have her marked at $9 but I do think she will be much shorter. I am happy to be against at any skinny quote.

 

Albion Park Race 3 Tip #1 Kurahaupo Gambler $3.20

I like the chances of KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) here. I’m not too worried whether he leads or takes a sit, he is good from either spot and is racing very well.

I have him marked $2.30 and do think we will see better and am quite keen on his chances.

KAPOW SHANNON (3) is going well and if there is something that will cross KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1), it will be this one. He is ready to lead over the mile and if he finds himself there, he will run a very good race.

I have him marked $3.70 and do think we will do better. Might be able to back both of the top two selections here and if my map is right, it will be an easy watch.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (8) needs a fence draw in this class and gets it here. He is some chance of landing on ther leaders back and that will give her a chance. I have him marked $9.70.

BIG BANG LEONARD (2) hasn’t found the form that he had last time in, but you always need to keep the Darrel Graham trained horses safe. He can let down with a nice sprint and the right trip. I have him next best at $10.

 

Albion Park Race 4 Tip #8 Major Generaljujon $2.25

If MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8) lands on the leader's back here, then I can't see him being beat. I have him marked $1.40 and from the pocket spot, he looks a moral. Very ready to win and this looks perfect.

HEZA BROMAC (2) is going better and from the handy gate, he is some chance. If something goes wrong with the top tip, he can finish well here. I have him marked $7.40.

CELTIC CRUZA (1) gets the inside gate and the good front running driver, but with the top pick on his back it looks hard for him tonight. Giving him a small chance as out in front is the place to be and have him marked $9.20.

Menangle Race 4 Tip #8 Stanley Ross Robyn $5.50

STANLEY ROSS ROBYN (8) will be finishing off strongly here.

The seven-year-old has been in moderate form since resuming from a long break, however this field isn't overly strong and I think he can take full advantage.

The longer distance of 2300m will certainly suit his run-on style and he will be tough to hold out in the closing stages.

 

Menangle Race 8 Tip #5 One Hell of a Ride $2.20

ONE HELL OF A RIDE (5) can look to lead all of the way.

The Alchin-trained pacer was sent forward in a scintillating first quarter last week, before having to restrain. He still managed to hold on to 5th in what was a solid effort.

Driver Todd McCarthy will be using the gelding's high speed off the gate to find the lead, and I think can do enough to hold off his rivals in this field.

 

Newcastle Race 4 Tip #9 Kid Montana $3.00

KID MONTANA (9) can get back into the winner's circle tonight.

This horse has been superb this season and while he has not won since mid-March, all of his runs since have been full of merit and usually in stronger races than this.

The back-row draw really gives Brad Elder full license to drive the gelding how he sees fit. 

With even luck, he should be able to show his class and be too good.
