Canterbury Race 3 Tip #7 Lillemor $4.50

There is plenty to like about this filly going into this race.

Two starts back she was brave but no match behind Satin Socks, and the form from that race has stood up very well

Last start she began awkwardly, however she ran well to finish third behind Bound To Win and Feather.

I love the setup she gets for this race.

The filly drops back in grade and was originally set to carry her last start weight of 58.5kg. However with Louise Day aboard, she gets 3kg knocked off.

Jumping from barrier one, she'll be able to stroll to the front. Given that the 6m rail position at Canterbury has historically favoured leaders, she should be very hard to run down from there.

The wet track shouldn't pose an issue, as her breeding suggests she'll have no troubles handling rain affected surfaces.

With fitness on her side being third-up, expect Lillemor to be right there in the finish.

Canterbury Race 2 Tip #14 Sole Heir $7.00

Sydneysiders have been inundated with miserable weather over the past 7-days.

Canterbury is known for being a front-running track and this reputation will be further pronounced today, given the 6m rail position and heavy surface.

With this in mind, I’m happy to be siding with this two-year-old colt from the Waterhouse/Bott stable who lines up in an open race.

He profiles very well here and brings the best form-lines to this clash.

He ran an unlucky second on debut over the 1000m at Canberra, before finishing fourth behind gun two-year-old's Aim and King’s Legacy at Rosehill over 1200m.

The colt had some excuses in both hit-outs and was able to show good tenacity on each occasion, which is rare for a two-year-old.

He looks rock-hard fit and the best front running jockey in town, Tim Clark, stays aboard.

He’s drawn low and maps to the rail here. I expect him to give us a great sight at a generous price.

Sale Race 1 Tip #13 Not a Zak $8.00

Jason Warren saddles up a smart two-year-old gelding here, who gains a start as the first emergency.

He hit the line strongly on debut, running 2.8 lengths behind Bribery and Extra Time at Morphettville after being forced to raced four-wide with no cover.

The form from that race has been franked, with both of those horses going on to place at stakes level.

He was sent straight to the paddock off that run and appears to have returned in good order.

His two jump-outs in preparation for this race have been excellent, having finished first past the post in both.

The gelding seemed to handle the soft conditions in his first jump-out over 600m, so he shouldn't have any issues with a similar surface here.

Given his race experience, I was expecting this runner to open around $4.00. At the current price, he looks a fantastic each-way play!
