Tamworth is the venue for NSW Country racing on Monday, as we look to start the week on a winning note.

The track is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 3m from the 1000m to the 300m mark and true for the remainder of the circuit.

With fine weather forecast, we're set a great day of racing on a fantastic racing surface.

Below is my best bet and quaddie numbers for Tamworth.

Stay tuned for my mid-week previews this week, including Kembla Grange, Hawkesbury and Coffs Harbour.

From the stewards

There are several runners who have featured heavily in the pre-steward's report for this meeting.

The most notable runner is the Kris Lees trained Intricately, who runs in Race 6.

She raced greenly in the straight and hung out in the final stages on her debut win. With a race day experience under her belt, she can take the next step here.

Jockey to follow

There are only a few jockeys that ride this track better than Greg Ryan, but the standout pick of the rider ranks for this meeting would have to be Samantha Clenton.

Clenton has had 59 rides here in the past 12 months, recording 19 wins, at an outstanding 32.20% strike rate.

Clenton has four-rides on the card, with her best chance coming in race three on Hard Lady.

Josh has identified 4 races on today's card that represent good betting opportunities.

Horse Racing Tips Tamworth Race 8 Tip #7 Agrapart $2.40

This filly from the Cody Morgan stable is coming off a one length victory at her home track, where she led from start to finish.

She was very impressive in that clash, hugging the rail the whole way to beat home the classy Ciao Uno from the Kris Lees stable.

Having won first-up for her new stable, she will gain plenty of confidence leading into this one and she looks to have some upside, especially in the Country ranks.

From the favourable draw in barrier 5, I expect young Kyle Wilson-Taylor to show some intent from the gates and have this girl up on the speed.

She's well in at the weights after the 2kg claim and if she can repeat her last start sectionals, I expect her to extend away in the straight.
