How did Deano go?

While Deane Lester is undoubtedly one of Australia's best form analysts, even he can have a quiet day.

After two straight weeks of good profits, Lester's tips were wayward on Saturday.

However it wasn't all bad news, with Lester's tips seeing some good results.

If you would like to purchase Deane's Saturday Racing tips at Caulfield for this weekend, you can purchase them here

Deane Lester's horse racing tips review 25 May 2019 (Flemington)

Race 1: #5 Namino (15 units)

Lester went with a bit of value to kick things off, tipping the $13 chance Namino.

It had no luck last time as well as good form coming in.

But it was another unlucky result, with Namino missing the placings.

Race 2: #1 Fidelia (10 units) and #7 Orcein (10 units)

Fidelia was Lester's best tip of the day.

The filly proved herself the class animal, lumping the top weight to victory.

And it a price of $2.30, it is nothing to be sneezed at.

Orcein finished 1.5 lengths behind in 5th.

Race 4: #1 Odeon (10 units) and #7 Strategic Demand (10 units)

Lester wasn't confident with either of these selections, citing that he could make a case for just about any runner in the race.

Strategic Demand had a shocker, finishing a long way back.

But with a shade more luck, Odeon would've got the chocolates.

He just missed the bob in the photo finish.

Race 6: #5 Araaja (5 units) #9 Dr Drill (10 units)

Another second here, with Dr Drill just missing out to a fast-finishing Admiral's Jonker.

Lester had very little confidence it Araaja, and that was borne out in the race.

She finished a long way back.

Race 7: #5 Haunted (30 units) - Best Bet

Deane Lester's best bet had an absolute stinker.

The $2.20 fav settled at the back of the field and never ran on, finishing 9th.

Race 8: #12 Surprise Baby (25 units)

There was more bad luck for Lester in the penultimate race on the card.

Surprise Baby got pipped by a nostril in what was a horror result for punters who loaded up on this favourite.

Lester did tip the quinella though for those who play the multiples.

Race 9: #14 Nearest The Pins (5 units)

Lester's last tip was the roughie Nearest The Pins.

Again, his staking plan saved some punters their dough, with this gelding finishing a long way back.
