Easter betting blitz

The Easter weekend card sees several savage betting moves in early markets, with punters highly active at both key venues.

Last week we selected 3 from 4 winners at Caulfield and are hoping to give punters the same true guide this Saturday.

Watch for a further push in betting as we approach jump, to give extreme confidence with the below runners.

Grey Shadow

The Maher/Eustace stable is flying at the moment, having several heavily backed runners throughout the week who saluted.

They arrive with this mare first-up who does like it fresh (3:1-1-0)

She will go back to midfield before rattling off a huge sectional late. Yes.

Grinzinger Star

Was a nice win at Caulfield last start when knocking off a good one in Mr Quickie.

From an ideal draw (gate 5) there is no reason why he can’t go back-to-back here.

The speed looks fast in this particular race and the speed map favours for him are significantly heightened as a result.

Thrillstar

There has been a savage move in early markets for this filly, which can be expected when you are coming off a fifth in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas.

This is a huge drop down in grade and on this alone she should be winning.

Probably has to push forward from the gate 15 draw, however with any luck she can find an ideal position in the moving line.

Plein Ciel

Gets the 'suck run' all the way from gate 1 and they may even press on and take-up the lead if nothing is keen to cross.

He loves this track (4:3-0-1) and gets up to 2000m for the first time this prep where he has placed before.

When the Anthony Freedman stable back one it pays to follow! Yes.

Randwick tips from early market moves

Concrete

Has been racing well in the bush and deserves a Highway trip to Sydney.

He has won his past two starts in Maiden and Class 2 grade and they can often be on a steep trajectory forward if the stable decides to travel to town.

Have to trust Joe Cleary that the horse is well above average and a further push in betting would add extreme confidence.

Amangiri

Was heavily backed last start here at Randwick when she just missed after doing work from the deep (gate 15)

She draws a much better barrier this time out (gate 5) which could make all the difference.

I am expecting her to simply lead, control the race and put her rivals to the sword. Yes.

Loving Gaby

Has raced well all throughout her 2yo campaign and finally gets to a mile which should suit.

She was good in the Sires (1400m) where again she stormed late to just miss when 2 of 12.

Will get back and with the added distance should have enough time to collar them all late. Should be winning.

Viridine

I keep going back to the Morphettville run in the Euclase Stakes a number of preps back, where his effort had to be seen to be believed. A repeat of that run would win this.

In recent times he has been good and the failure in the Galaxy can be attributed to the Heavy surface.

Bowman takes the ride and it would not surprise to see him fighting out the finish. Could start shorter.

Professional punters and the experts from Australia's racing media are listed with horse racing tips available every day of the week in our Tip Market. Each tipster is ranked on their validated profit statistics.
