Ascot Race 3 Tip #2 Pomme $2.60

This progressive filly from the in-form Darren McAuliffe yard makes the big jump to 2200m today, in preparation for the WA Oaks.

She put in a huge effort first-up when winning comfortably at Narrogin over 1500m, after sitting three wide the trip without cover.

Last start, she stepped up to 1600m where she positioned outside the leader at an unsuitable muddling tempo. She overcame the challenge however, by rallying strongly to take line honours.

She now steps-up to the staying trip, which is where she appears well suited. From a soft draw, the one-one position is hers for the taking and from there she'll get a great run in transit.

Apprentice Chloe Azzopardi jumps on board and claims 2kg to negate the rise in weight. With even luck here, expect her class edge and staying potential to get the job done.

Randwick Kensington Race 5 Tip #6 Covert Ops $3.00

This promising galloper from the Gerald Ryan stable has produced two great wins off the back of a gelding operation. 

His victories have been dynamic and in good time, suggesting he's ready for the step up to a BM70 and beyond. 

From barrier 10, look for jockey Keagan Latham to sit just behind a hot tempo in a stalking position. 

If the son of I Am Invincible can run up to his most recent efforts, he'll prove too good for this group.

Sandown Hillside Race 1 Tip #1 Bayvista $3.00

This three-year-old gelding was doing well at jump-outs prior to his debut, matching motors with the well performed Jumbo Ozaki.

He then put in a good performance at Moonee Valley for his first hit out, contesting a hot maiden where he was beaten by a smart one. 

He should improve fitness wise from that first-up effort and with the 1.5kg claim from jockey Michael Poy, he should be winning here.
