Best of the best punters & form experts
As the racing hotted up in February a group of punters and media form experts demonstrated how to turn a profit on the punt. The Top 3 positions in both profit categories included an even share of punters and Australia's racing media, with noticeable dominance from the Perth racing contingent.
Using $100 win bets as the measure, the standouts in February included a professional punter from NSW, a race caller from Western Australia and a punter from Brisbane.
TurfCutter topped the list with $3,360 profit from 120 wins during the 28 day period. Boasting life time profit in excess of $20,000 from $100 bets placed on the site over the past three years, the professional punter has done enough to prove that he is well worth following.
Perth's premier race caller Darren McAullay was the second most profitable tipster in February making no-less than $2,890 from 25 winners tipped in the month. McAullay's performance exemplifies the fact that race callers make fine tipsters on the back of their significant exposure to horse racing week-in, week-out.
Brisbane punter MyDaySaturday came in a close third with $2,580 made from his 65 tips at average odds of $18.16.
