We're back under the lights at The Valley on Friday night, with an eight-race program highlighted by the Summer Series Stayers Final and the Summer Series Sprint Final both worth $100,000 in prizemoney.

The track is currently rated a Good 4, and on track patrons should enjoy fine weather which will be a bit on the cooler side.

The rail is out 6 metres for the entire circuit, compared with 3 metres for the last two meetings.

Expect horses racing on the pace to hold an advantage.

Moonee Valley Race 4 Tip #1 Sartorial Splendour $3.80

This Moonee Valley specialist from the John Sadler stable has a good fresh record (4:2-1-0).

The son of Brazen Beau led them up and won over this sprint trip last prep in a BM84, before not quite making the grade at Listed level.

Apprentice Matthew Cartright brings his weight down to 58 kgs following the 3kg claim, and he should be able to find the rail again in the 955m sprint.

With his class and acceleration, expect him to prove too hard to run down.

Moonee Valley Race 6 Tip #10 Holster $3.50

The son of Tavistock has Victoria's premier rider in the saddle in Jamie Kah, and drops 3 kgs on his last start Sandown placing.

Most of these runners are up in grade, so this really isn't a tough assignment.

Now that he is reaching peak fitness, Kah can put him on-speed again here and control the pace of the race.

With the luxury weight, she can shoot him clear on straightening and fire him home.
