Riverina Racing heads to Wagga this Friday, for a solid eight-race card kicking off at 1.15pm.

The track is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail out 4m from the 1400m onwards and true the remainder.

With warm temperatures and no rain in sight, a track upgrade to a Good 3 is on the cards.

Wagga Wagga Race 4 Tip #1 Azoustic $2.80

The former Joe Pride trained galloper has been switched to the John Bateman stable and finds a very winnable race here.

His last start fourth on a Heavy 8 at Goulburn was a pass mark, in what can only be described as a slog-fest.

Courtesy of a stable change, he now heads to Wagga to take on lower quality horses, returns to a dry surface and drops back to the more suitable 1400m.

I expect his dry form to reign supreme. So far this prep, he's run within a few lengths of promising gallopers Coco Cuber, Tawaret and Opacity. The latter went on to win a BM64 by 3 lengths.

With his main dangers drawn wide here, jockey Kayla Nisbet can push forward from the soft draw and is likely to receive an economical run.

With even luck in the run, I expect this bloke to prove a class above his rivals!

Wagga Wagga Race 7 Tip #5 Ruby Skye $3.40

Craig Widdison saddles up the mare by Reset in the feature race of the day, The Tom Patton Cup over 1800m.

Her fourth in a BM80 at Flemington over 1720m two runs back, has her right in this and punters should reference that form rather than her last start.

She was entitled to finish well off them last start, after being caught three-wide without cover throughout at Moonee Valley over 2040m.

Going from BM70 at The Valley to a Handicap at Wagga sees this girl drop 5kg in the weights, but it's fair to say she's meeting inferior opposition to what she's met so far this prep.

If she can recapture her earlier form, she's a genuine winning threat.

The key to this girl is that she must be ridden quiet and saved for one last run at them. With gun jockey Blaike McDougall to steer, you can expect him to get that job done.

Look for him to get this girl into clean air and then release her strong sprint late.
