Best plays from leading tipsters
Punters are treated to some thumping cards at Flemington & Randwick this Saturday, headlined by the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes.
Flemington is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail in the true the entire circuit.
This set-up should play out evenly for all horses, however keep a close eye on where riders are positioning themselves down the straight to guage where the best going is.
The Queen returns to Randwick, where the rail will be out 3 metres the entire circuit.
With a the track currently rated a Good 4 and nothing but sunshine forecast in Sydney over the coming days, an ideal racing surface will give all runners a fair chance.

Flemington Race 5 Tip #4 Fundamentalist $3.40
This filly contested some quality group races last prep, including the Aquis Farm fillies Classic.
She had to do a little bit of work early to find the lead on that occasion, and was only beaten by the hype horse Mystic Journey.
Her last run before a spell was in the Group 1 Empire Rose stakes, when she was on-speed again and was run down by an older proven winner in Shillelagh.
Her first up-run this prep at Caulfield was good considering she didn’t have the clearest run late. In a positive sign, she was still on the heels of the in-form Tin Hat through the line in that run.
With the extra 200m, added fitness and her usual toughness, I expect her to be hard to beat.
Randwick Race 1 Tip #10 Crystal Falls $51 each-way
Crystal Falls is a two-year-old filly from the John Sargent stable, who should be fit enough here on debut after having three trials.
To my eye, she looked to go as good as Exhilarates in the first trial she contested. That runner went on to win the Magic Millions 2yo classic.
In the second trial, she cruised behind another promising Godolphin filly Athiri, who placed in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude at her most recent start.
I think she will be better over longer distances and there is a question over whether she has a sprint.
At the current odds however, I am happy to have something each way and find out.

Flemington Race 8 Tip #7 Sunlight $4.40
Is yet to miss the trifecta when fresh.
Her jump outs have been excellent and she carries very little weight here.
She impressed last prep with three wins and a second from five starts and I’m convinced she’s going better than ever.
She loves the track and with 8 wins from 12 starts, she has to go on top.
Royal Randwick Race 7 Tip #8 Sylvia’s Mother $3.70
This Team Hawkes trained 3yo filly looks like a very nice prospect.
Her only defeat came at her first career start, but she quickly turned it all around.
Her most recent win was arrogant and being fourth-up now with plenty of fitness on her side, it could be the telling factor over her main rivals who come here off a spell.

Newcastle Race 4 Tip #7 King of Seas TBD
This three-year-old from the Chris Waller stable has been competitive at his two career starts and has found a very winnable race here.
He had no luck last start and would have finished much closer to the winner if afforded clear air in the straight.
The step-up in distance looks a positive and from the soft draw, you'd expect him to be stalking the leaders two pairs back. Once he hits the straight, look for him to peel wide and fly over the top late.
