Horse racing tipsters firing in time for Autumn

 AAP

February is turning out to be a month were media tipsters and punters are standing up to be counted. It's hard to remember a time when the profit levels of the tipsters in the top end of the 3 Month Racing Tipster Leader Board were so high. The Top 25 on the leader board includes no less than 17 tipsters who have tipped more than 10 winners and have a win profit on turnover percentage ranging as high as 17% through to 66%. If you have trouble working out the significance of these figures then think of the current return you get if you stick your money in the bank or the stock market at the moment. They range from no risk to some risk depending on the stock. This lot are giving punters up to 10 times the retunrs that they would get if they invested in these markets, which is surely great compensation for the additional risk involved.

At the top of the list sits Walksy05. Not so long ago he hadn't placed a tip on anything other than the greyhounds. Since that time he has been finding horse racing winners easier than a bottle of beer in a grog shop. Punters following his selections will have to punt on South Australian races as that's where his focus is, but with 66% win profit on turnover he is proving that he is a smart punter regardless of the racing code that he looks at.

Not far behind him with a super impressive 53% win profit on turnover is the form analyst team calling themselves ProHorseTips. This team of punters have made it clear that they are serious about what they do. They have dedicated five years towards developing a racing system that is certainly doing its job. The team of form analysts indicate that the racing system is continually modified and involves a lot of data to achieve the results. Over its five years of use the team claims it has been profitable. Just like the thousands of other tipping sites that claim the same. Big difference with these blokes is that they have the courage to prove it. No popping up a few winners here and there and stating a profitability number that they have produced from a set of spreadsheets that no one else has ever seen. Every tip is posted for everyone to see and every result and profitability figure is available for anyone that looks at their tipping website or the various leader boards on display. It stands to reason that if you know your good at picking winners then you will proof your tips. Otherwise you will make some excuse to the punters following you or ignore the fact that a free proofing service exists altogether.

The Media are well represented amongst this list of high performers. They are the ones highlighted in green. SKY Racing have the highest cluster of representatives in the Top 25. Interestingly the top two performers from the racing broadcaster are ex-jockeys, Alf Matthews and Bernadette Cooper. Racing Network also has a couple amongst them with Steve Hewlett from Best Bets sitting on 40% win profit on turnover and Joel Marshall on 21%.

John Davis from the Daily Telegraph sits on 20% which is exceptional consisdering a lot of his tips are for Saturday racing which are printed in Friday's edition of the newspaper. This means John is doing the form on Thursday before a lot of crucial information is available. With this significant hurdle in the way he has still managed to make some serious cash for punters. What's even more impressive from John is that he shows life time profitability from almost four years of tips.

Mark Hunter is winding up very quickly for the Autumn Carnival . He has showered punters following his selections with winners over the past three Saturday race meetings in Melbourne. At the start of the month he tipped three winners at Caulfield for 73% win profit on the day. The next week he found six winners from the nine race card for 142% win profit on turnover. Last weekend he found four winners from the nine card program at Flemington delivering his army of followers a sweet 85% profit. Over the three weeks he has selected 13 winners from 27 races. Those statistics are nothing short of amazing and they underline the hype that surronds Hunter's form analysis capability and his strong knowledge of Melbourne race tracks.

Another thing to note when looking at the Top 25 on the 3 Month Leader Board is that there are four qualified Professional Tipsters listed. Walksy05 who qualified as a greyhound tipster but is well on his way to get a tick for horse racing, JustaMug, Hanks59 and Logan89 have all passed the tough professional qualification criteria to call themselves an expert. That means proven long term performance and strong recent performance over the past quarter.
