Doomben Race 7 Tip #6 Couldn't Refuse $2.80

This Desleigh Forster trained gelding was unlucky last start after being held up between runners, before finding clear air in the final 200m.

He didn't get much chance to build momentum in that clash and finished off hard to go down by a half-length to Angus The Black.

The third placed horse behind him, Agassi, has since come out and won comfortably in Saturday grade last weekend. That is a good pointer towards his chances in this benchmark 75.

Experienced hoop Jim Byrne should know what he has under him here after missing the boat last time.

From the perfect draw in gate 3, Byrne can settle him in the first half dozen before letting him loose in the straight and steering him to victory.

Warwick Farm Race 4 Tip #4 Atlantic King $4.20

This looks like the perfect race for the Matthew Dunn trained Atlantic King to bounce back to winning form.

Put a line through his last start effort over the Rosehill 1800m, where he was ridden too aggressively and felt the firm track underneath him.

Prior to that failure he was very good at Randwick on a soft track, where he was able to defeat subsequent city Saturday winner Gone Bye. This gives him a very good form reference for a midweek event.

He races at peak fitness, gets back to the mile (1:1:0:0) and Hugh Bowman takes over which is a positive lead.

He relishes wet tracks having never missed a place from two starts and in the small field, he will prove awfully hard to beat.
