21/12/19 Horse racing tips from early market movers

Pro's pounce
Last week we identified three winners which aligned with our market movers model.
Those punters who followed our smart money selections and snapped up the odds at the time of publication reeled in 49% Profit on Turnover.
With the "second tier" horses more prevalent at this time of year, the early betting market tends to be an even more important guide for punters.
We look to continue the good form this week with the below selections at both key venues.
Flemington
Bold Star
SA visitor from a shrewd betting stable (Gordon Richards), who are well known for their betting plunges.
This gelding has already tasted success in Melbourne, when winning well at Moonee Valley last start.
There is no reason why he can’t go back-to-back here. Yes.
D’Aguilar
Has an ultra impressive SP profile, where he is often well backed and expected to race well.
He was good at Cranbourne first-up when placing 3 of 11 and was undefeated prior to that.
Lightly raced and he's from the Patrick Payne yard, who rarely miss when the money goes on.
Can’t Be Done
Has been very consistent of late when chalking up two second placings at both runs back.
He won his only previous third-up run and as a deserved topweight (60.5kg), he will enjoy the relief of the 3kg claim.
I suspect that he may control this from out in front, with little pressure seen elsewhere.
Yulong January
Loves to lead and run them all into the ground.
He gets the chance to do that again here, with only a moderate tempo predicted.
The past two wins could not have been more dominant, and if he holds his form it will be a near impossible task to run past him. Yes.
Randwick
Pauper
Has the key booking of Tommy Berry, with the top jockey manager selections usually a good guide in these highway races.
He was well supported in betting to win last start at Rosehill, where he recorded the best late sectionals when finishing 5 of 14.
Jumping from the good draw in gate 1, expect them to ride a touch closer here which should make all the difference.
Smartedge
Is from the shrewd Snowden yard, who place them to win better than anyone else.
He was excellent first-up when chasing hard to finish a close up (1.7 lengths) 3 of 11 at Rosehill.
Expect him to take good improvement into this and he will be much stronger late.
Word For Word
Was a complete forgive run first-up at Rosehill, where he was held up and never really got clear at any stage before finishing 4 of 9.
Given more luck here and a generous speed map, he can improve significantly.
Waller will certainly be motivated, with an ex NZ Prime Minister (Sir John Key) in the ownership!
Usain Bowler
Is an interesting runner here and likely to be on a path to the riches of Magic Millions.
With the strong support in betting, the stable must have him wound right up to perform well fresh.
He should get back to midfield before unleashing hell late. Yes.
We've put all the selections for Melbourne racing this Saturday on the Flemington tips page, ordered by each tipster's validated profit stats.
