14/12/19 Horse racing tips from early market movers

Summer Plunges

The early betting patterns are often a strong guide for punters, as the price adjustments usually represent “smart money” or heavy weight of investment.

This week we have identified the horses below, who fit this profile at both Flemington and Randwick on Saturday.

As always, look for a further push in betting close to start time for extreme confidence.

Dark Horse

Although the Hayes yard have been quiet recently, they are still a noted betting stable and if the money comes, it can be lethal.

This colt is on debut with no public trial and the support in betting strongly suggests he has impressed in trackwork at the private Euroa complex.

Expect him to be in the finish.

Westbrook Park

Another well-supported Hayes horse, who is shooting for the hat-trick following two impressive wins.

He was ultra impressive at Moonee Valley last start, when braining them all in similar grade.

This race is deeper, however expect him to be up to it. Yes.

Tycoon Bella

Another hat-trick aspirant who has also impressed in recent wins.

She remains undefeated and did win the rich Ballarat Eureka Stockade at her latest, when leading throughout.

Expect her to lead again and prove very hard to run past.

Has a strong SP profile, where he's been well supported in betting at his past few.

He chased hard last start and only just missed when 0.2 lengths behind a smart one in Creedence.

The Payne yard are very shrewd, and only run them if they are a genuine winning hope. Looks the goods.

Loves to lead and dictate and although there is pace drawn elsewhere, they will be brave to take her on.

She was good at Kembla last start, when she led with ease and held on in the shadows.

With any cheap sectionals here, she should be the one.

High Bridge

Has a touch of quality about him and finds a race which lacks depth.

He showed enough first-up when 5 of 13 at Rosehill, to suggest he is in for a very good prep.

Out to 2400m now suits and he should be charging at them all late.

Wild Ruler

Is on debut for a leading yard after winning two trials.

I always respect the money for Snowden runners and he must be showing them plenty behind closed doors.

Draws gate 1 and should have every chance if he jumps with them.

Was heavily backed late ($8.00 into $5.50) to win the Listed Dulcify at Rosehill last start, before finishing 5 of 13.

He has been racing against stronger opposition and will appreciate the class drop here.

Can be the sharp improver, now back in grade.
