Saturday racing returns to Moonee Valley for the first time since Cox Plate day, whilst the NSW metropolitan meet will be held at Rosehill for the fifth consecutive week.
After plenty of midweek rain in Sydney, expect the Rosehill track to be in the Soft 6 range with the rail out 3m for the entire circuit.
This track tends to dry quickly, so with all the sunshine in the lead up to the first race, don't be surprised to see the surface improve.
The Valley will be dry and fast. We are currently on a Good 4 with the rail in the true, which should favour on-pacers

Rosehill Race 9 Tip #2 Gaulois $4.40
This Godolphin owned gelding looks ready to improve on his impressive second-up record of one win and three places from four starts.
In a huge push for his chances, premiership-winning jockey Hugh Bowman gains the ride.
From barrier six, the gun hoop will be afforded the run of the race behind a moderate tempo.

This talented gelding impressed in a recent jump-out, running nicely alongside Runson who proved his credentials in the Spring.
He gets plenty of ticks in the stats department, including two wins and four places over the distance.
He also boasts an impressive first-up record of two wins and two places from five starts.
Although he's drawn wide, there is plenty of pace engaged, and he'll be flying over the top of them late.

The Chris Waller trained mare returns to Sydney after a dominant display at Flemington on Oaks Day.
She comes into this with two wins and two places from her past four starts, and she's three from five on Soft tracks.
Star jockey Kerrin McEvoy retains the ride and with the light weight of 53kg, the son of Savabeel should prove too good for his rivals.
Rosehill Race 9 Tip #3 Roman Son $23 each way
Ran a huge race first-up last preparation and will be ready to go after having four trials in preparation for this.
The Richard Freedman trained runner has won two from two on Soft going, has plenty of upside and can surprise punters with a strong showing here.

Moonee Valley Race 8 Tip #7 Al Galayel $3.20
An ultra consistent gelding who will make his own luck running on the speed this time around.
He is well suited back onto a dry surface, with all four of his career wins coming on a Good track.
He gets speed map favours here and with Craig Williams to ride, look for him to be fighting out the finish.
Moonee Valley Race 9 Tip #9 Castelo $23 each way
Won here first-up last prep at crazy odds.
He’s a bit of a first-up specialist, having won three and placing once from six starts.
Trainer Clinton McDonald thinks he's going as well as he was when he won here fresh last time, so he's worth an each way ticket at the crazy price.
