Doomben Race 7 Tip #5 Desert Lord $2.45

This former Sydneysider has settled in nicely since transferring to the David Vandyke stable, producing a first-up win and a close up third.

He has a good record at this distance range, having won 3 and placed 3 from 10 goes at the trip.

He gets in beautifully in this Class 6 with 57.5 kgs given he is the clear top rated runner in the field and gets 1.5kg off some less fancied chances in the market.

His last start in a Quality Handicap behind The Harrovian has since been franked, with that galloper since saluting again.

Stephanie Thornton takes over the reins and should bring him across from gate 8 and sit just off the speed in a nice trailing position.

Look for Thornton to pull around the leaders and get him to the outside of the track to use his acceleration and outsprint his rivals.

Flemington Race 6 Tip #3 Bivouac $3.30

Loves the Flemington straight (2:1-1-0) and is in fine form, coming off a massive effort when second in the Everest.

He doesn’t know how to run a bad race and should be able to camp on the speed set by Nature Strip and Fabergino.

With the gun run in transit for Glen Boss, expect the son of Exceed And Excel to prove too strong late.

Bivouac

Flemington Race 8 Tip #2 Fifty Stars $9.50 each-way

He’s been set for this and his last start fifth in the Cantala Stakes showed he’s on target.

He loves Flemington (9:4-1-0) and has won over the 2000m at this track.

Team Dabernig & Hayes has him rock-hard-fit and ready to run the race of his life!

Flemington Race 5 Tip #2 Pondus $2.70

The money has already come in bucket loads for this international, who he looks the put in, pull out job of the day.

Enormous is an understatement for his Australian debut, where he drew barrier 15 of 15 before being restrained to last and almost rounded up the entire field hooking widest around the turn.

He clocked the fastest last 600m, 400m, 200m sectionals of the race and wasn't far from clocking some of the fastest late sectionals of the day despite it being a 2400m race.

He was heavily supported in betting getting backed in from $5 into $3.50 minutes before the jump, suggesting connections know he's a serious talent.

He looked a real Cup hope if he could have made the field, however, we see him lining up here over 2600m.

Cup winning trainer Joseph O'brien has him placed to perfection in a race where many of these runners are struggling to put consistent form on the board.

He’ll relish the step up to 2600m on a bigger circuit and the booking of Damien Oliver suggests he's flying! Bet of the day!

Ascot Race 1 Tip #2 Sassy Trader $2.30

Sassy Trader becomes the beneficiary of Clairvoyance being scratched. On acceptances, he appeared to be running for second place but the Trade Fair gelding now has a great shot at winning.

First-up he ran behind Kissonallforcheeks who was narrowly beaten in the Burgess Queen Stakes on Tuesday and First Law who looks to be the best of the three-year-old boy's division.

This field is definitely easier than what he faced first-up and coming back to set weights for three-year-olds, he has the luxury of dropping 2kg.

The drop back to 1100m second-up poses no concerns, as he is a speedy type

From barrier 1 in the field of six, Jordan Turner will have the option of either taking up the lead or box seating and either position can be a winning one.

This looks great placement by Sean and Jake Casey as we look to start the card off on a positive note.

Wyong Race 6 Tip #10 Bat Pad $3.60

I really like the way she won first go going clockwise.

She looked like she will appreciate rise in distance and the form behind her has been franked with a few subsequent winners.

Team Hawkes look to have a smart filly on their hands here and at the price, she's the best of the day!
