Early oil for Sunday racing in Tasmania

Hobart plays host to a small but competitive seven-race card on Sunday afternoon, with the meeting set to get underway at 1.05 pm (AEST).
The track is currently rated a Soft 5 and the rail is out 15m for the entire circuit. Showers are forecast for the early morning, but it's expected to clear up in the afternoon.
The rail was out 13m for two meetings in July, but has never been out further than that position on the redeveloped track.
At this set-up, the inside going may be favoured. We will need to watch the first few races to get a guide on the track pattern.
Best bets from Jacob Beavis
Hobart Race 4 Tip #5 Sardegna Deel $1.85
The Brendan McShane trained four-year-old mare has struck form this preparation.
She bolted in over 2100m at Launceston two starts ago to record an impressive maiden victory.
Last start she wasn’t disgraced over the same track and trip, when racing three-wide and finishing third behind two strong horses that franked the form in their next start.
From barrier 7, I’m predicting the in-form Bulent Muchcu to settle her midfield, before making a move around the home turn and proving too strong for her opposition.
I’m bullish about her winning chances and she’s my best bet.
Hobart Race 6 Tip #3 First Accused $2.00
The unbeaten Scott Brunton three-year-old gelding takes on the older horses for the first time in his third start and I think he is smart enough to win this.
He produced a breath-taking debut in July as a two-year-old, by running over the top of his opposition to score a 1.75 length win.
He came back as a three-year-old in October and produced another cracking performance by scoring a 2 length victory on a wet track.
There appears to be plenty of speed in the race, which should see Georgie Catania settle him off the pace before unleashing his strong burst of speed down the straight.
He is my next best and I’m excited to see what the future holds for him!
